Birthdays

So I have a couple of friends birthdays coming up this week and wanted to make them cards. Of course I'm NOT going to BUY them! Silly! The first thing that came to mind was the fabulous glimmer paper in the 2nd Release of Sale-a-Bration! I knew I HAD to have it as soon as I saw it. I love all the colors but think the Bermuda Bay is my favorite.  The sad part is, it's only available until the end of THIS month! I do hope they come out with more glimmer color. I like that it's in a 6x6 pack. It's like just the right amount!

Now let me get back to my thought process. I thought what better set to go with it then the Birthday Blast stamp set and edgelits! It's a new bundle in the Occasions. Page 11 in the catty if you're following along.
To me the burst just screams glimmer. What do you think? Here's a picture of the bundle. In the catalog they also show this "blast" on cards as well.
So here is my take using this set. I did CASE (Copy And Share Everything) from Pinterest. I did change it up a bit, but loved the look, I hope you do too. The background is the DSP (Designer Series Paper) called Cupcakes and Carousels. I think they have a nice "springy" feel to them. Plus this sheet I used is Bermuda Bay!
Here is a close up of that fabulous glimmer! The stars are what fell out when I die cut the burst. Nothing goes to waste!

I hope I haven't spoiled her surprise for posting this card before she gets it, but she's not a stamper, so the chances of her seeing my post are pretty slim.

If you'd like to get any of these products, you can shop my store HERE. Remember the glimmer paper is a Sale-a-Bration item, so if you want that, you'll have to spend $50 to get it!

Tomorrow I'll share the next birthday card.

Thank You!!!

This is a quick post. I just wanted to show the thank you cards I'm sending out this month for those who recently placed orders. This has been a great month! Sale-a-Bration is winding down and I'm trying to use up some of my Sale-a-Bration items. I did CASE this card but as I usually do, I change it up a bit.
I used Advant Garden set and the 6x6 Glimmer Paper Assortment pack Sale-a-Bration items. The base is Peekaboo Peach with a layer of Whisper White. I inked the flowers with Peekaboo Peach and Mint Macaroon. I also used the Layering Ovals and Black Baker's Twine.
Here is a close up so you can see the glimmer! I love a little bling on my cards! This card could easily be made into a birthday card using the birthday sentiment from the set.

I hope you enjoyed this quick post. If you'd like to get any of these items AND this card simply place an order by March 31! That's when Sale-a-Bration ends! You can find all these products in my online STORE. If you need any help with anything, please let me know!

Final Group of Swaps!!!

This is it! This is the last group of swaps from my Spring Fling gathering. I hope you've been enjoying them and they are inspiring to you as much as they are to me!
This first card is just in time for you to get your Easter cards done! The card was made by ___ and the ___ bundle is great for Easter but for spring and other occasions as well. I'll have to post a picture of another card I did using the little chickies and it's for an anniversary or even a wedding! The thinlits that come with this bundle (you can buy the stamp set & thinlits separately but why would you!) has so many pieces. So there would be little to no fussy cutting! The basket is placed on the layering ovals which really set it off!
This card uses some of the Succulent Garden Suite. I've really liked playing around making the succulents, especially after the class to make the little succulent pot using the egg carton. This also uses some of the Sweet Sugarplum ribbon.

This card uses the Carousel Birthday stamp set. What's so fun about this card is the ferris wheel actually spins! This set is part of a product suite called Cupcakes & Carousels. It has a really nice embellishment kit and a great DSP stack. Those who attended the Spring Sampler class got this paper stack and embellishment kit. We used everything in the kit and a piece of each paper and they still had plenty left to make many more cards or samplers!

This last card was made by a good friend Dale. She used one of my favorite suites in the Occasion Catalog, Special Reason. This is another bundle you can purchase. I love being able to save 10%! In this sample it shows how different this die is! You can get the image die cut in the paper and if you want you can also cut it out! You can find this on page 42 of the Occasion catalog or simple search for it in my STORE. In the catalog it shows some of the other ways this die is used. If you go to the description of the Spring Sampler it show the two ways as well, HERE.

I hope you enjoys this last group of swaps. I have much more to come in the next few days, so stayed tuned!

Ice Cream Anyone?

I wasn't so sure about this bundle at first but as soon as I started playing with it, I really enjoyed it!
This is the Cool Treats Bundle and product suite. I really love the "sprinkles" that are a part of this suite. They are such yummy colors! The ribbon is from the annual catalog and it is Pool Party, the DSP is from the Tasty Treats Specialty pack.
Here I used more of the DSP for the background, also for the tag.  I also used the coordinating washi tape and clear embossed the dark shadow on the ice cream. It's hard to see in this picture.

I really like how simple the card is. The ice cream bowl was cut from the DSP with the framelits that coordinate or is part of this bundle. I used a piece of Silver Foil paper for the spoon and the stitched framelits to put the ice cream sundae on to finish it off.

I hope you enjoyed these cards. If you'd like to get any of these products to make your own, click HERE to go to my store.

Traveling!

Well I was a little lax in getting my posts all scheduled during my time away, but I'm back and had to get a class prepped and then design the cards I had in my head for my Technique Class this Saturday! So I'm sitting here while the snow is pilling up outside!

So as soon as I returned from all the work in Virginia, I had to prep for my Spring Sampler Class. Here is a picture from that post. And if you'd like to make that Sampler, I'm sure I can round up a few people who didn't get a chance to make it the first go around! Then to figure out what to do for my Technique Class and my Shoebox Swap next month! I'm trying to condense the projects I have to come up with so I wanted to use my of my class projects for the swap, plus in checking my email this morning I forgot all about my monthly swap that I have to get out by the end of the month and make a birthday for my brother-in-law! Oh boy, I'm exhausted already!

If you're interested in coming to my class this Saturday, I have some awesome cards for you to create! I don't want to spoil all the fun but here is a picture of one of the cards we're going to do.
Wouldn't this card be great for Father's Day? Also for his birthday! You could even change it around for your hubby's birthday!  I'm not sure what this is called but I'm calling it a flag pop up. Go to my website and RSVP to join us!
Don't forget Sale-a-Bration is winding down! Take advantage of all the FREE product you can earn and the sign up special too!

Window Shopping!

So have you seen the Window Shopping Bundle? No not to go window shopping! The minute I saw this, I had to have it. They showed some samples using this at On Stage in November and was so excited about this set. You see those 3 square dies? Those fit in the square areas of the box sides. You could also use them on their own. This bundle is so versatile. I even came up with a masculine looking card!
Here are a few samples using this bundle. I can't take credit for designing these cards. I did CASE (Copy And Share Everything) them.
This first card also used the Falling In Love Designer Series Paper. I also used the Vanilla ribbon & Falling in Love Embellishments. This was a quick and easy card to put together.
This next project they showcased something like this and knew I had to make it. I used a bamboo screwer for the ships "mast" and punched  holes in the "sail". The fringe scissors really made it simple to fill in the boat.  I used a piece of styrofoam inside the boat to secure the "mast". The boat is just half of the box. This wasn't too difficult to make but did take a bit more then the previous card.

This is another project I saw on Pinterest and had to make it! Not sure if you can tell but I used the clear Wink of Stella on the dragonfly. I tied some of that Sale-a-bration metallic ribbon. I'm really love'n that ribbon.

This was another card that Stampin' Up! showcased at On Stage and have seen several others CASE as well.  The candles are one of the pieces from the die cut that you would use on the side of the box. To have some contrast for the flames of the candles I put a piece of So Saffron behind them. The washi tape is in the Occasions Catalog. It's part of the Cool Treats Suits called Tasty Treats Designer Washi Tape. I also used the Calypso Coral Ombre pad found in the Annual Catalog. The stars are part of the Metallics Sequin Assortment also found in the Annual Catalog. This was a real simple card to make and took no time at all!

This last card I designed for my Technique Class in January. Look similar to the one above? Yup! I stayed with the same format but changed it up a bit. I was showing how you can use the dies to emboss! Now those dies you have can do even more! With this card we did a dry emboss and heat emboss. I will try to get a video out soon on how I did this. It's really not that difficult but can take a little practice. I used gold embossing powder for the candles and the Happy Birthday. The washi tape is from the Urban Underground Suite.

I hope you enjoyed all these cards today! If you like to get any of these products you can shop my store HERE! Another great part of this bundle is it qualifies for a FREE Sale-a-Bration item! If you have any questions, please let me know, I'd love to hear from you! I'd love to be YOUR Creative Coach!

Couple More Punch Ideas!

I hope you had a nice weekend! My "mini vacation" isn't really a vacation but don't work constantly.

I have two more cards with some alternative ideas! I hope you enjoy them.

This first card was made by Gayle. She used the Hearts Border punch along the top and the Sweetheart punch for the hearts on the bottom. She folded the paper in half and then punched the heart, she just didn't put it in all the way to keep the fold intact. You could write inside each heart with a special short note! The ribbon is a Sale-a-Bration item. It's a metallic ribbon and so soft!
This last card was made by Debbie. She used the Fox Builder punch to create this adorable bunny! The long ears are actually the part that would be used for the tail and the little pink under its chin usually goes on the top of the head. So as you can see you can make more animals then just foxes with this punch! This would be a great Easter card!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have enjoyed these punch ideas. If you like to get any of these items you can shop my store here.
