Paper Pumpkin Alternatives

Are you liking this COLD FRIGID weather? Not me! It's so cold in my stamp studio, it makes it hard to stamp! I managed to get a few cards stamped before my toes said they had enough! I hadn't had a chance to play with my Paper Pumpkin, so I thought I'd work on that.

Here is what December's kit makes. I like to get started by making what the kit intends to be. This month's kit is called Flora & Flutter. Something nice to do instead of thinking of winter!

For my alternatives, I tried to keep them simple since I was freezing! Here is the first alternative. I used a piece of Crumb Cake for the base and stamped the Congratulations in Crumb Cake on the sides. I cut one of the cards front off and cut two of the boarder from the Lemon Lime Twist leaves piece and layered them and then put on the card front. I stamped the Congratulations again in Berry Burst on Crumb Cake card stock. The only extra I used on this card was the Crumb Cake card stock and ink, otherwise everything was in the kit!

This next card I used several new items. Don't the leaves look like it could be under the sea? I backed it with some of the new glimmer paper and the Magical Day stamp set and coordinating framelits from the new Occasions Catalog along with my Blends markers.

Happy New Year!!!

Hope you had a great New Year's Eve! Here's a quick card I'm sharing today to celebrate the New Year.

Wanted to put together a quick card to celebrate the New Year and use some new product. This is a Sale-a-Bration set called Amazing You and this year there is a set of dies to coordinate with it! Stampin' Up! now has two levels of items you can get during Sale-a-Bration. You can't see it in the picture, but I added the mini dimensionals to "celebrate" to elevate it a bit.
