Mores Swaps!

Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend. I have another round of swaps for you. I think this group has a much different look then some of the others. Even though we are all using the same two colors, but using white or DSP in large amounts, it really changes everything!

Just a refresher, these are swaps from a monthly group I participate in. Each month we have a different theme. The host chooses the theme and are due at the end of the month. We lost a member in December so we are a group of 9 wonderfully talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. So the theme for December was a color combo with any DSP and a thank you card. The color combo was Smokey Slate and Perfect Plum.

This first card was made by Jen. So different from the rest of the cards! I love it! Amazing how all these colors work together. She also used one of my favorite dies, the Stitched Shaped framelits.

This next card, same! Using some DSP with color makes all the difference! Laura made this card. So simple, a stamp, ink, paper and a little ribbon. Just looks great!

The last one for today was done by Mena and using more white has definitely brightened up her card as well. Her white was the White Shimmer. You can't see it in the photo, but there is a hint of shimmer in the paper. Love this card stock. I really like how she used her DSP as "grass" for her flower.

Thank you for stopping by. I look forward to your comments. You can find all these products in my STORE or look below for all the items I used on these cards. If you don't have a demonstrator, I've love to be yours. There are all kinds of benefits for shopping with me. Check out the the VIP Host Code and your Wish List for more details.

Feature Friday

Happy Friday! I can't believe this month is more then half over! Plus the temps around here have been a bit more normal for this time of year! Yeah! Besides getting 6" of snow this week, it's been quiet.

I have a couple of different projects for you this week. I had run out of the Painted with Love paper and just got it back in and had to use it right away!

Well this first card I didn't use it, but it is different! I saw something similar by someone else and went with that. It's the background that I'm referring to. I stamped a splatter in black, then stamped it in Versamark and heat embossed gold embossing powder. After that, I sponged on Rose Red. I should have taken a close up so you could see it better. In real life this card is stunning. I've decided to send this to a girlfriend of mine that I missed her birthday. Hopefully this will make up for missing it. I also gold embossed the flowers on the heart then filled in with the Rose Red. The "Happy Birthday" is from Birthday Banners and the gold leaves poking out are from the Petals & More thinlits. Of course this would make a great Valentine, wedding, or anniversary card.

So the card was over the top, this was pretty simple. I used the Mini Treat Bag thinlits to create the bag, die cut the heart as well and used the flowers from the die to put on the heart. I stamped the sentiment from the Bloomin' Love set and die cut that with the Sweet & Sassy framelits and popped it up. I also used the new Love Mini Tinsel trim. That's it! It came together pretty quickly. Wouldn't this be a nice treat to give to someone special!

I hope these projects have jumpstarted your creativity! I'm so glad you stopped by and look forward to your comments. If you have any questions or need help with re-creating any of these projects, please contact me. If you don't have a demonstrator, I'd love to be yours! I have a monthly VIP Host Code to earn FREE product and card kits. Below is a list of all the products I used to make these projects.
