More Monthly Swaps

Hope you had a great weekend! The snow is melting and the temps are finally warming up! I'm still working on our renovations but getting close to the end!

This is my other monthly swaps. If you're new to my blog, I participate in a group swap each month and whoever is the host chooses the theme. For February the theme was Sale-a-Bration. Also with that being said, we are in our last few days, so make sure you take advantage of all the FREE products you can get with your purchases!
Our first card today was made by Carol Barbati and she used the Celebrate You thinlits. I really love these. These are available with a $100 order. Carol also used the Brusho Crystals in the Occasions catalog. I sure hope this product carries over into the Annual catalog. Her card base is Night of Navy with a layer of Real Red. She did the Brusho on watercolor paper and use the spritzer to move the Brusho and added wink of stella to the die cut. Don't you just love this! There really is no wrong way to use that Brusho.

This next card Laura Bornstein used the Heartfelt Blooms, another one of my Sale-a-Bration favorites. Her card base is Old Olive and layered the Petal Garden DSP. The floral image she stamped with Calypso Coral and colored the center with the Daffodil Delight Blends. Laura also used the Layering Ovals for the sentiment. I don't think you can see in the picture but she also used the the Softly Falling Embossing Folder on the DSP and just a small piece of the Old Olive Sheer Ribbon with the sentiment and used dimensionals to give it a bit of height.
This was another one of my favorites. Vicki Wu did this card with Amazing You and the Celebrate You thinlets. Vicki stamped the flower a couple of times and one is gold embossed and fussy cut. She also die cut all this with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. Lastly the "amazing" is from the Celebrate You and those leaves are from the Leaf punch which is a carry over from the Holiday Mini. Vicki's colors are Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Black Memento, and gold.
Here Lilly Ruiz also used the Heartfelt Blooms too, but just the sentiment. The butterfly is from Beautiful Day. What a great idea to emboss the the butterfly on the Delightful Daisy! To continue the butterfly theme she use the Fluttering Embossing Folder.
This last card was made by Jen Sootkoos. She used the Lots of Lavender.  I love how simple this card is. I'm guessing she choose her colors by the Naturally Eclectic DSP, Fresh Fig and Lemon Lime Twist. The Fresh Fig layer was embossed with the Scattered Sequins Dynamic Embossing Folder. The strip of glimmer paper from the Myths and Magic really gives it a great pop! What a great idea using the Bitty Bows on top!

I hope you enjoyed all these samples. This should give you some great ideas using these fabulous products. Remember, hurry Sale-a-Bration ends Saturday!

Feature Friday

TGIF!!! I know it's Friday, but not for me! At least all that snow gave me a day off! I hope you made out ok with the snow, sleet, rain, or whatever it was doing where you live. I'm hoping this is the last Nor'easter for this season.

If you're just arriving, I'll give you an update. Each month, I pick a product/bundle/suite to feature each Friday for that month. For March I chose Cake Soiree. We used this suite at our Spring Fling event so at least I had a head start with samples for the month.

This bundle comes in wood or clear mount and one of the nice things with this bundle is there are multiple pieces of the leaves and flowers so you can do less passes through the Big Shot when creating a card or scrapbook page.
This first card I'm sharing I CASED from Melissa Stout. I saw this card and just had to make it. The cake is actually on the inside of the card but when closed you don't really see it that way. Besides using this card for a wedding or anniversary, I think this would work great for a special birthday as well. The "celebrate" is from the Celebrate You Thinlets in the Sale-a-Bration section. I can't remember is I used Silver or Champagne foil.
This next card, I'm sure I CASED but don't know who, so unfortunately I can't give them credit. I really thought this card was so pretty and you could use it for just about any occasion. I used the sentiment from the set but used the scallop circle punch that's also in the occasions catalog. Can you see the dots on the Powder Pink layer? I used the Scattered Sequins Dynamic Embossing Folder. That's one of those thick folders.
Here's a close up of the tag, present, and sentiment. The leaves in the background there are die cut with the silver foil as is the bow.
This last photo used the narrow note cards and envelopes. I CASED this from Debbie Henderson. This came together very quickly. I used the Myths and Magic Glimmer paper as an accent to the Sweet Soiree Specialty Paper. I also used the Tailored Tag Punch for the sentiment.

I hope you enjoyed these projects and want to give them a try. You can find all these products in my STORE. Make sure you use this month's VIP Host Code T4ED7Z7F. If you have any questions or need help with re-creating any of these projects, please contact me. If you don't have a demonstrator, I'd love to be yours! I have a monthly VIP Host Code to earn FREE product and card kits. Below is a list of all the products I used to make these projects.

Monthly Group Swaps

If you're in the east, especially my area, I hope you're staying home, where it's safe and warm! As I write this we are preparing for the fourth Nor'easter in three weeks! This storm has the potential to dump the most amount of snow yet. I guess Mother Nature doesn't realize it's spring! At least the storm will give me a day off from the renovations we've been doing! Hopefully I can catch up with some of my stamping!

Wow, I've been busy with swaps lately! These swaps are from last month's group swap. The theme was Sale-a-Bration.
For this first card, Debbie Modrowsky made it and she used Happy Wishes. This set is so versatile. There are so many words in this set, the cards you can make are amazing! Her card base was  Rich Razzleberry which she embossed with the Garden Trellis embossing folder. I think she also used Powder Pink that she punched with the Decorative Ribbon. I love this punch, it makes a great border. How do you like the "Happy" in a two tone? You can do this a couple of ways, but an easy way is to ink half in the lighter color then use a sponge dauber to ink the other half. Debbie used Lemon Lime Twist and Rich Razzleberry and topped it all off with a bow from the Ombre Lemon Lime Twist Ribbon then went over the letters with some Wink of Stella
Mena Green made this next card and used Beautiful Peacock. Her card base is Berry Burst. She also used Fresh Fig card stock and ink. I really like the Berry Burst Metallic Edge ribbon. It's so soft and the metallic edge gives your project a great pop! Her focal point was punched out with the Starburst punch and layered on Fresh Fig card stock that was die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and used dimensionals to pop it up.
Pat Mitello did a tone on tone card with Heartfelt Blooms. Pat also used the Fresh Fig card stock and ink. To go with all this, she used the Fresh Florals DSP. She die cut the sentiment from the Petals and More Thinlits and popped it up with dimensionals. The Fresh Fig Sheer ribbon was tied around the focal image.
I made this last sample for today. I used Lots of Lavender and Petal Palette. I too used Fresh Fig card stock along with Whisper White and Vellum. This was kinda like making a shaker card without the shaker. I first stamped the image on vellum and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. (I used Archival Black and VersaMark) then colored the back side of the embossed image with our new Blends (Rich Razzleberry & Old Olive). I attached the vellum after I colored it in to a piece of Whisper White that I die cut an opening from Lots of Labels then embossed it with the Layered Leaves Dynamic embossing folder. The dynamic means it's a thick folder so you change the sandwich you use. Instead of using dimensionals, I used the Foam Stripes to give it the height it needed.

I hope these cards have jumpstarted your creativity! I'm so glad you stopped by today and look forward to your comments. If you have any questions, or need help with re-creating any of these projects, please contact me.If you don't have a demonstrator, I'd love to be yours?
