Feature Friday

Yes I know it's Saturday, but things had to get changed around. I was suppose to have my Technique Class today but had to move it to Friday and was still in the process of putting together projects for it when I should have been getting this post together. LOL! I'll get it together some day!

So since I haven't really put a post together for this month. Here is the first Product of the Month. I'm coordinating the special Stampin' Up! has with the Share What You Love. There are 3 bundles to choose from along with the new In Colors. But I'm focusing on the bundles you can purchase this month. They are really great deals. Each bundle has FREE item(s)! I'll post the specials at the bottom of this post.
This is the stamp set I'll be focusing on. "Love What You Do" It's a great versatile set.
Here is the Designer Series Paper, Share What You Love. This is gorgeous paper. It's a speciality paper and the pack is a double pack with 24 sheets and most of the papers has a pearlized accent. The picture really doesn't do it justice. The only way to get this paper this month is in the biggest bundle.
This first card is did case from Dawn Thomas. This is a great way to use up some scraps. Really not much to this card. I took a piece of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of black card stock and after punching out pieces of the DSP with the Tailored Tag punch. I even used the punch for flagging the end of the sentiment strips. You don't see it, but I layered this panel on a piece of Petal Pink, a new color. The ribbon is also part of this bundle. It's a Rich Razzleberry Velvet ribbon that I tied a piece of white Baker's Twine around the middle.
This next project was a lot of fun. I saw this on The Paper Pixie's site. She does some unusual boxes or containers. I think she called it a Pop Out Box. She got it from another demonstrator as well, but I don't remember her name. I used the same ribbon as a belly band to hold the box closed.
Here it is with the lid off. The inside has what's called a napkin fold. The box bottom is a base box.
Here's a top view.
And here is what it looks like all the way open. I used the Statement of the Heart set and die cut it with the Stitched Shapes. A fun project to make.

I hope these have inspired you to get one of these bundles or try these yourself. If you need help with creating these, please contact me. To purchase these bundle, scroll down. Here is also a video describing the different bundles. As always, you can find all these products in my STORE or use the links below. Make sure to use this month VIP Host Code 4MXCH2YS.

More Swaps

So how did you like the swaps from last week? I have a couple more today. If you missed last week, you can view it HERE. This swap theme was using your stamps to create a background/DSP.
This first card was made by Mena Green. I just LOVE this set! I'm so glad it's carrying over into the new catalog!
Stamp: Dragonfly Dreams
Card Stock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Bermuda Bay
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Black Memento
Blends: Pool Party

This next card was made by Laura Davis. She's a new member of our group. We had a few that had to drop out for various reasons and Laura jumped right in! I really don't think to use words as a background but this looks great! I'm not sure but think she used the new Stamparatus. If she didn't I would, it makes doing this type SO MUCH easier! Laura used a stamp set that coordinates with the Perennial Birthday Kit. So if you like these images and want to make some beautiful simple cards, you need this kit and stamp set.
Stamp: Perennial Birthday
Card Stock: Bermuda Bay, Basic Grey, Whisper White
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Black Memento, Lemon Lime Twist
Accessories: Starburst punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Dimensionals

I hope you enjoyed today's cards. If you don't have a demonstrator, I'd love to be yours. I have great ways for you to earn FREE product, card kits, and so much more! Have questions? Contact me, I'm happy to help. You can find all these products in my STORE. Make sure to use this month's new Host Code 4MXCH2YS. I look forward to hearing from you!

Monthly Swaps Are In?

I just got last month's swaps in yesterday! So glad I got these in. The theme for April was make your own pattern paper using stamps. If you're wondering what I talking about, I participate with a group of other demonstrators each month. The host picks the theme. It's nice to have a challenge. The swaps are due at the end of the month, hence why I'm posting each month the following month. I'm really looking forward to what everyone does this month, I'm the host and doing a fancy fold.

So anyway, back to these swaps. I'm going to continue listing all the products used after each card. It makes it easier to see what each one uses.
This first swap was made by Lilly Ruiz. Don't you think this would be great for Father's Day next month? or a birthday?
Stamp: Truly Tailored
Card Stock: Tranquil Tide, Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla, Night of Navy
Ink: Night of Navy, Tranquil Tide
Accessories: Layered Ovals, Polka Dot Embossing Folder
This next card was made by Vicki Wu. She used the new stamp set that's part of the Share What You Love Bundles. This is also my Product of the Month!
Stamp: Love What You Do
Card Stock: Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink: Momento Black
Blends: Pool Party, Calypso Coral
Accesories: Wink of Stella, Pool Party Baker's Twine

You Are My Anchor Paper Pumpkin Kit

Since Paper Pumpkin has a special until May 10 for first time subscribers. You can get the kit for 50% off your first 2 months! I thought this would be a great time to show some alternatives using the most recent kit, You Are My Anchor.

This is what you make with this kit. You make 4 note cards of 5 different designs and there are 4 boxes to put the cards and envelopes in.
Here are the kit contents. The lighthouse and anchor are the same size as the stamps in the set.
This first card uses one of the note cards as the background layer under the piece of Whisper White. The images are randomly stamped using the images in the stamp set and my own, Crumb Cake & Pool Party inks. I also used my punches to punch out a piece of Pool Party card stock and from the piece that goes around the box. The card base is Calypso Coral card stock. I need to thank Kelly Acheson for this card.
This next card is a shaker card. I got this idea from Tina Rackley Riddle & Lori Mueller. I used the Champagne Foil for the window rim and one of the note cards for the background and the lighthouse die cut. I stamped the birds and glued some sequins to the background so there will always be some "floating" I got the sequins from some past Paper Pumpkin kits.
This card I used the blue Brusho on as a "stormy" background. I got this idea from Jenny Hall.  I sprayed the Shimmery White card stock (front and back) then sprinkled some Brusho on it. Since it wasn't doesn't as much as I wanted, I pulled out my Aqua Painter and did a wash all over and liked this much better. The round circle piece is from the kit, as is everything else. I had a piece leftover from the first card, so I used that as my strip behind the circle. Since it wasn't really long enough I cut it in half. Now it looks like it's one long piece!
This last card was also from Kelly Acheson. This one wiped up in no time! The only thing that isn't part of the kit, is the card base, Pool Party. I took the other half of the note card from the shaker card and trimmed it down a bit and layered it on one of the other note cards, which was cut in half. The striped piece is another not card trimmed down to fit on the card base.

I hoped you enjoyed these ideas. So if you get the kits, save your leftovers! You never know when you're going to need them. If you don't get Paper Pumpkin yet, now is the time! When you sign up by May 10 you'll get your first 2 months at 50% off! That's $10 a month! Besides making the kit, you can always make other cards or projects using the kit. The kits contain everything you need to complete the projects except scissors. I so look forward to getting my kit and putting some time aside to make the kit and then come up with some alternative projects as well. It's like getting a present each month, delivered right to my door! To start your subscription click HERE. Check back next month for more ideas using May's kit.
