Calendar update!

Well I've been working on my calendar for September. I've been participating in a "boot camp" to get my business back on track. So this past week's assignment was to do a month of classes and events. August Technique

Well here are the other two cards we did on Tuesday for class this month. I'm not sure what to call these techniques, or who to give credit to. I made similar ones at the shoebox swap I participated in last month when I went to convention.

Technique Class

Had to reschedule my class last month and this month, so I did a combined class today. Everything we did were swaps I got at convention. Of course I had to change them up because I didn't have the stamps or DSP .  I would have put this up sooner but I've been having trouble move the pictures from my phone to the computer, so I only have one for now. I wish I knew who I got this idea from but I didn't get any contact info with this one. I did find several examples on Pinterest. I'll post the other two cards in the next couple of days.

This is a picture from convention. It started Wednesday evening with a Paper Pumpkin party. There was a make n' take for everyone. This is Dale, Trisha, Jessica, and me. We had lots of fun and tasty treats as well! Enjoy!

New page in Life

Yes, it's been a long time since my last post and a lot has happened. I had been working at Coldwater Creek for over 4 years and the last year was full time as one of the Assistant Managers. I enjoyed working there. I worked with a bunch of wonderful women and the company had a great product. We noticed a lot of things happening within the company and knew they were struggling and trying to save wherever they could. Well back in April they announced bankruptcy! We were all shocked to say the least. This past Wednesday our doors closed forever and Thursday we cleaned up the place and left. Well I feel wherever one door closes another will open. One door I hope is getting my Stampin' Up! business back to where it should be. I went to convention for the second time and had such a great time. So many great things happening within the company. Here are a few pictures from convention which was only a couple of weeks ago. The first picture is my roomie Dale and me taking a break from shopping. We got there early so we could do some shopping and site seeing. The next picture is the window of Godiva, yum! Then Dale again with all our goodies from shopping! We also participated in a shoebox swap and that's me doing mine! Then we met up with Jessica and Trish and toured around Temple Square.  That evening we picked up our convention bags! Oh how exciting! They're perfect for a tablet! Then we had a Paper Pumpkin party! but the picture after the convention bags isn't the make n' take from that it was actually the next day. So my pictures are a bit out of order! That make n' take was for the new Project Life with Stampin' Up! Then is a picture of our new friend Tami we met the first full day of convention. Then Dale on the plane on the way home and then is a picture of Jessica and I when they had a prize patrol for everyone! So that's it for now. Prepping

Well I feel like I've been on a whirl wind ride! Since getting back from convention, I've been working, weeding, or creating samples for Fall Fest. The garden is starting to turn out gigantic tomatoes, lots of peas, zucchini, and beans to climb to the sky! I even got some flowers growing! The pool on the other hand has given us nothing but trouble. Hopefully my husband has that fixed AGAIN!
At convention I won the new label thinlit that makes the flip cards! So I'll be showing a demonstration at our semi annual Fall Fest using this exciting new product. Here is a sample of one of the cards I made.
