Feature Friday is Back!

This is the bundle I'm featuring this month. Each Friday, I'll give you ideas on what you can do with this bundle. I had fun with the cards for this week. These cards are in the breast cancer color of pink, but can easily change them up for any color.

Here are the different colors for the different cancers. Also think about other uses for ribbons. I'm working on that for next week!

So this week I went in pink hues. This first card I did the Eclipse technique. I did case this off of someone else and loved the look! I used the shimmer card stock to do the watercolor in Melon Mambo. I let it dry and added more color. When I was all done I used my aqua painter to sprinkle water on top to lift some color off. Doesn't this pop! I really like how this turned out. Not sure why but the photo looks a little blurry. The original looks fine, so not sure what happened.

This next card I stamped the background the same color as the card layer (Pink Pirouette). The ribbon is embossed with gold embossing powder and I did a light wash on the ribbon with the same ink color. The two frames are made with the Stitched & Layering Squares Framelits. I also did a light wash on the white frame, which is the Shimmery cardstock. The other square is the gold foil paper. I thought I'd carry the shimmer through to the ribbon as well. Then to add a bit of interest, I added a few sequin from the Metallics pack.

This last card is going to be my group monthly swap.  The theme is a card sketch and saw something similar and thought I could change it and make it work! Here I used the Powder Pink and Blushing Bride. I did use a couple of other dies to complete this card. The strip along the left is from Flourish Thinlits and the word "hope" is from Sunshine Wishes. That little "&" is from the stamp set that coordinates with Sunshine Wishes, it's called Sunshine Sayings.

This last card is super simple! For those that want to give a thank you to all the help they are getting from others. What a great gift to give someone! I'm sure they would appreciate it. They have enough to worry about. I know I appreciated all the help I got when I was recovering. Sometimes the simplest things can mean the most. Here is used the smaller ribbon die. The "thank you" is from Thankful Thoughts and the edge is the Decorative Ribbon Punch.

More September Swaps

Here are a couple of swaps from the monthly swap group. If this is your first time visiting my blog, I'm part of a very talented group of about 10 Stampin' Up! Demonstrators and we take turns being the host. When it's our month to host, we get to choose the theme of the swap. If you'd like to check out last week, you can see it HERE.

This first card was made by one our newest members, Laura! She used Pick a Pumpkin, Painted Harvest, & Spooky Cat. All 3 sets are bundles and she used the coordinating framelits & punches. The cat you see is actually from the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper and punched out with the cat punch. If you haven't seen the Painted Harvest and it's coordinating punch, it's the leaves you see here. Also, if you didn't know, the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits (bundled with Pick a Pumpkin) also cuts out some of the pumpkins in the Spooky Nights Designer Series Paper! Laura also used several inks and paper. The inks are: Old Olive, Fresh Fig, Pumpkin Pie, Pear Pizzazz, Peek-a-boo Peach,  & Crumb Cake. Here is all the paper: Fresh Fig, Old Olive, Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper, Spooky Night Designer Series Paper, Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper, & Watercolor paper. She also accessorized her card with the Black Mini Sequin Trim & Enamel Shapes. She layered the Burlap Ribbon on a piece of Fresh Fig.


The next card Carol made. She used Colorful Seasons to create her card. I like how she swapped out the leaves centers to give them contrast. These leaves are from the Seasonal Tags Framelits in the Holiday Mini. To do all the leaves, she used: Peekaboo Peach, Crumb Cake, Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobbler, Chocolate Chip,Crushed Curry, Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper. The stamped leaves were inked with Crushed Curry & Cherry Cobbler.
