Happy Saturday! Sorry folks! I forgot I didn't schedule this. I was working on setting up several posts as this month is quite hectic for me and just trying to do too many things at one time! I'm sure you have not idea what I'm talking about! So I guess better late then never right?
Anyway I'm featuring the Cake Soiree this month. If you haven't visited before each Friday (hopefully) I showcase a product all month long. For the month of March it'll be Cake Soiree. I really liked this entire suite in the Occasions but didn't think I really needed it! Well guess what! I'm so glad I got this bundle and the coordinating DSP and embellishments. Besides the packaging you can do for weddings and special occasions, you can dress it down for a more simple birthday, even make a masculine card! I'll show that another week. There are four pages in the Occasions that showcase this suite (pgs 10-13). Besides all that, there are products in the Annual catalog that coordinate with this suite as well.

Enough of all that. Last week and this week feature projects we did at our Spring Fling Retreat. At the event we did some packaging and cards. This first sample is one of the packaging ideas. We used the Striped Treat Bags and gold library clips to embellish this bag. We used the new blends to color in the flowers.
For this next project we used the narrow note cards & envelopes in the Occasions and let the DSP do most of the work here. We also used the new Scallop Circle Punch (1 3/8") and the Petal Palette embellishments. The "celebrate" is from the Sale-a-Bration set Amazing You. The cake on the right card is the DSP and we just punched it out with a circle punch.
For this last project we used the Silver Mini Gable boxes and the Scattered Sequins Dynamic Embossing Folder. They call it Dynamic because it's one of those thick folders and you do the sandwich differently when using it. We die cut one of the largest flowers out of the silver glimmer paper to go behind the detailed flower and also used the new multipurpose adhesive sheets when die cutting the flower. It just made sticking it to the glimmer paper much easier. The adhesive sheets are a great product to use with any detail dies. It puts the adhesive right there for you. It's like making a sticker out of your card stock!

Good Morning! This is a very busy month for me. My husband and I have a 2 family house and had a tenant move out and have to renovate the whole apartment! So my posts this month may be a little late.
I'm sitting here watching the snow fall (not much yet) and since it's nice and quiet I can get this post out. I still have many swaps to share and don't want the post to be too long! So if you haven't been following, we had our annual Spring Fling event last month and we had a big group that signed up for the organized swap.
So for this first card, this is where I really want to be right now! Sunny Florida! Ah, the sun, the warmth, no snow! Ok, let me get back to the details! Barbara made this card. So simple. She used the Waterfront stamp set, I just got this set but haven't had a chance to play with it. She also used the Seaside embossing folder and Stitched framelits. The other addition was the burlap ribbon. Wish I could go to this place right now!

This next card was made by Mary Ann. She joined my team last year during Sale-a-Bration. I love this card! She used Sunshine & Rainbows. So often I see this set with the rainbows and I think that's a lot of work. This card looks so dreamy to me. I've been temped to get the coordinating dies, because I really like those clouds and how she used the bottom ones as a border. The card base is Pacific Point and the sun is non other then Daffodil Delight. That just screams sun as well! To soften the look Mary Ann used Soft Sky and some Clear Wink of Stella on the sun. I'm not sure you can see it but she also used some of those clear epoxy shapes. You can use them clear or color with our Blends!

This last card, I didn't even recognize this stamp set. How bad am I! I think it's adorable but had no idea it was Stampin' Up! This is another place I'd like to be right now! Everything is green and warm and NO SNOW! Don't get me wrong I do like the snow but I'm just so tired of it! Anyway, back to the card. Peggy made this card and it's a Hostess Set called Cozy Cottage. If you don't know what a Hostess set is, it's available only to someone who has a party or places an order of $150 or more. Peggy did a lot of coloring on this one. She used our new Blends. She used all light of the colors mentioned. Here are the colors: Old Olive, Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight. She also used Smoky Slate light & dark, Crumb Cake light & dark. The ribbon is a Sale-a-Bration item, it's a trio of shimmer ribbon. When coloring with our Blends or any alcohol marker you need to use a water base ink to stamp your image so you don't get bleeding.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope these cards have sparked your creativity and give them a try. You can find all these items in my STORE. If you need help with anything, please contact me. As always, I'd love to hear your comments, so please leave them!
Stay warm, dry, and keep the electricity flowing!
Hope you had a great weekend. Mine seemed to fly by. I have more swaps from Spring Fling to share. We all choose different stamp sets from the Occasions & Sale-a-Bration catalogs. Everyone did a great job!
The group I'm sharing today are nice bright cards and great for birthdays but change out the sentiments and you could use for anything. They're nice and bright and can lift you from the grey days of winter.
This first card was made by Leslie and used Bird Banter. What a great layout. I really like how this card is so bright and cheery. Leslie used the ink colors on each color of card stock but you could also use VersaMark and get a similar result. She also used punches for the focal point.
This next card was done by Laura, who coordinated the swap. She used Birthday Wishes and got the idea for this layout from a card that Shelli Gardner, our Stampin' Up! co-founder, demonstrated a similar layout at an On Stage event last year. It's another great card and bright colors!
This last card was made by Daneen. Aren't these critters adorable? They're from We Must Celebrate and the word "Celebrate" is a Sale-a-Bration freebie when you spend $100. Daneen used our new Blends to color in the critters and the fun sequins are the new ones in the Occasions and already have adhesive on them. They're called Tutti Fruittie adhesive backed sequins. She also used the circles stamp from Playful Backgrounds. She also used a circle die for the holes that the critters are peaking out of but I'm sure you could use a circle punch.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed these swaps. You can find all the products used for these cards in my STORE. Make sure to use this month's VIP Host Code T4ED7Z7F. If you have any questions, please contact me and I'd be more then happy to help. Till next time!
This took me a couple of days to figure out how to this but now that I can do this I'll be working on doing this more and hopefully soon, I'll start producing videos! Yah!
So for last month I didn't get a chance to get this posted since I was swamped getting everything together for our Spring Fling event. I copied this from Martha Inchley. I thought this card was adorable and just had to make it. It did take a bit of figuring out and put together, but got it done. Wanted to show it for our event.
Isn't this a fun card! This is called a z fold spinner card and uses the Myths and Magic Bundle that I featured last month. I used fishing line for the circles to spin and Tombo Liquid Glue to adhere it to the fold. That was the trickiest part. I really need to make another one of these cards using other products. Such a fun card to receive!
