Just a recap for those who haven't followed. I'm part of a group of very talented women and we do a monthly swap. Each month the theme is different. Whoever hosts for the month gets to choose what they want the theme to be. The swap is due at the end of the month and I usually get my swaps a few days after that, so it seems like I'm a month late but not really!
So for October the theme was a card sketch. I really like doing a sketch because it gives me something to start with. I did take some liberty with this sketch and changed it up a bit. I actually posted it HERE. Since at the time I was working on samples for my Feature Friday I would use one of those cards to work for my swap as well!
So for my card, the strip on the left replaces the larger peace in the sketch on the left and the pink ribbon is in place of the large piece behind the circle and the "hope" is the circle. I took the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper and inked it with the Berry Burst ink pad.
This next card was done by Jen. She used the new stamp set Color Me Happy which is available while supplies last, I think! It's part of the new Stampin' Blends kit that was just made available on November 1. She used the Blends to color in the bird. Very cute! She also used the Painted Harvest Designer Series Paper as part of her background and stamped the other bird in the stamp set on the Lemon Lime Twist piece of card stock. This next card was done by Gayle. I've been wanting the do this hedgehog ever since I've seen this done! Isn't he/she adorable! The face on the hedgehog was stamped with Foxy Friends. If you don't have that set you could easily use a marker and make the face. Gayle also used Painted Harvest Designer Series Paper.
