To shop, simply CLICK HERE! and use Hostess Code 66QR36K3 for a chance at winning the Hostess Rewards!

Need some inspiration? Well here are some sample swaps to get you going.

You can use any stamp set to do this along with any DSP (Designer Series Paper). What a great simply template!
Unfortunately I don't have the name of the artist for this one.

What another fabulous template! This one, just punch your image. Here she used an embossing folder as well and layered a piece of DSP behind the punched out image and added another punch to the center.  The "happy birthday" at the bottom was stamped BEFORE running it through the embossing folder.

This last card is great for using up all those scraps of DSP (as if any of us NEVER hoard our DSP!) On this one I have the artist! Her name is Carissa Machen. For this one I would use a ruler or square to start.

Hope this has given you some inspiration!

Don't forget the Hostess Code 66QR36K3 for a chance at winning the Hostess Rewards!

Happy shopping!

Also here are a few more swaps with a fall theme!

This card was made by my upline Tina Rosenkrans. This Lighthearted Leaves set has been very popular! So pretty and clean!

Here's another version using the Lighthearted Leaves. Artist unknown. She also used some washi tape and some ribbon.

One last card for today. This artist is also unknown. Here the leaf was heat embossed and colored in.

I hope you are enjoying all the samples. I have lots more! If you need any of the supplies, links for them are on the previous post or you can always click here or the shop now button above.

On Stage

Just got back from On Stage Local (Baltimore) yesterday. We had a fantastic time and so much to share. We got a all kinds of information about the new Occasions AND Sale-a-Bration catties! We even had some opportunity to play with some of the new product! I have some samples but can't share them with you just yet! :( However I can share some of the wonderful swaps I got! Here are a few that are just in time for Thanksgiving!

These swaps unfortunately I don't have their names who made them, but they did such a wonderful job! This uses the envelope punch board to create a pocket and makes a place setting! What a great idea!

This is actually a tag! It uses the triple banner punch and the triple corner punch. All three projects use the Lighthearted Leaves and coordinating framelit.

This is another tag, just like the one above, just using some different coloring.

Hope you enjoyed these first few swaps. I'll share more tomorrow.

New Valances!

I'm down in Virginia and the snow, yes, snow on the eastern shore of Virginia, is melting very quickly . I understand NJ has been hit again with snow, rain, and whatever else, with more on it's way. When will this end!

Just a quick note on my new valances. It only took me about a year, but I finally got my valances made for the kitchen! They turned out really nice. I'm very happy with them. This window is the one over the sink. There are two windows that face the front of the house, which I didn't take a picture yet. It seems like the last couple of days have been catching up with unfinished projects and this one was long overdue!

February Technique

Well it's snowing again here in NJ! What a surprise! I was suppose to be going to Virginia but they are getting even more snow then us, if you can believe that! Well it's time to catch up. Because of the cold I moved class to Saturday morning. One because it was just too cold to go out Thursday night and then Saturday afternoon, guess what? they were calling for more snow! I just can't wait for this winter to end! I do enjoy the snow, but just not all the time and so much. I hate the cold. Anything below 80 degrees is cold to me.

So let me get back on track. Here are this month's techniques:

This first one was so simple. Not sure what you call it, but it's using the Sale-a-Bration embossed paper.
This next technique is called Bokeh. It's pronounced a couple of different ways, so don't ask me! This one is a bit more involved and I've seen it done a few different ways as well. It's suppose to look like a photo with a blurred image. The base starts with watercolor cardstock.
This last technique, which you really can't see is using the mini treat bag frame lit and instead of making it flat, it's a gusset bag. These would be great to use for party favors or just to give someone a small treat. I love this frame lit, there are so many possibilities with it. It comes with many pieces that you can use with the bag or just use on your cards or scrapbook pages.

Well I will work on getting more posts up. This month has been difficult with running back and forth to Virginia, I feel like I'm not sure where I am half the time when I wake up! Keep warm, pray for warmer weather and keep thinking SPRING!

Last Technique for January

This card took the most amount of work. I combined to techniques into one, plus the piece where we stamped "Timber, I have fallen for you!" is another technique all on its own. The background is the technique. We used the largest acrylic block and inked the block with the ink pad, leaving blank areas, but not too much. Then spritz with water and stamped a piece of watercolor paper, smooshing it to blend it all together, filling in any "white" areas. Then if needed blotted with a paper towel and used a heat tool to speed up the drying. After that we ran it through the wood embossing folder.

Don't tell my husband, but this is his Valentine card this month. Now I have to come up with a birthday card! His birthday is a week later!

January Second Technique

This next technique, I got the idea from fellow demonstrator Dale and can't remember where I got the card sample idea from. This is basically fold your card in half, then cut the front in half and punch a circle halfway in and use the next size up for the layer.

January Technique Class

Ok, here is the first technique we did this month. The first one we used the new butterfly framelit and one of the nesting framelits for the bottom of the orange piece of cardstock. This technique was one we did before (only using a part of a framelit. The other was using fabric softener sheets.
This next technique, I got the idea from fellow demonstrator Dale and can't remember where I got the card sample idea from. This is basically fold your card in half, then cut the front in half and punch a circle halfway in and use the next size up for the layer.

Hope you enjoyed the techniques this month.

Travelling

Well I've been on the road for a bit and headed back out. My husband and I bought a house on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and we spent last week (8 days) down there cleaning and doing demolition work. I did the cleaning, he demolished! It's a nice ranch with a dock. I didn't get much time to enjoy the view, but once it's done, I will. We will be also doing weekly rentals, so if you're looking for a vacation spot, I've got one. We still have a bunch of work. Some we'll do ourselves and some we're hiring. So look for some stamping week specials for getaways to Virginia! We came back a day late because of the snow storm we had here on Saturday and I didn't have my computer to do updates and the internet connection wasn't good. So that is something to get fixed as well. Next I'm headed down to Orlando to go to Stampin' Up! Leadership. I was suppose to head out today but the airline cancelled the flight because of the blizzard that didn't happen. So now I have a flight tomorrow afternoon, trying to get something earlier if possible. I've had so much going on before I left for Virginia I didn't get a chance to schedule any posts. So here is one and if possible I'll get something done before I head out again. I want to be ready just in case I get an earlier flight.  I'll do the weekly deals for tomorrow and if possible I get up my technique cards from this month. So I'm leaving you with a couple of pictures of the new house.
