Well October is almost over! This is the last group of my September monthly swaps. As a recap the theme was fall/Halloween. We are currently a group of ten amazingly talented demonstrators. This last group, we all used the Painted Harvest stamp set. I really love this set and have seen so many different uses for it besides fall cards. I hope you enjoy this last group. Stop by next week for my October swaps. The theme next months is a card sketch.
This first card was made by Vicki. I like how she used the Stitched Shape Framelits to die cut the sunflower instead of fussy cutting it. She also used the Early Espresso as her base layer which really grounds the card and pulls the browns. Also embossing the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder ties well with the stamped and punched leaves. Vicki stamped her sunflower with Crushed Curry and the center with Early Espresso.
This next card Mena used a lot of the same colors but looks so different. In addition to the Painted Harvest stamp set, she also used the Hardwood background stamp to make her wood panels, which she die cut with the Wood Crate Framelits. Also in addition to the above inks, her second sunflower is Bermuda Bay. Mena did fussy cut her flowers. She also used Old Olive & Wild Wasabi to stamp her leaves.
This last card I made. Since the Eclipse technique is so popular I thought I'd give it spin and make it a bit simpler. So after stamping my sunflowers, I punched the cat and used dimensionals to give it dimension. My card base is Very Vanilla. Again a lot of the same colors as the cards above but a very different look.
