Wacky Wednesday

Hump day! Boy has it been tough getting back into the swing of things! I finally updated my computer's operating system and took a LOT longer then I expected. Pretty much all day and into the evening! So that really put me behind again! At least I got some stamping done. I have my Perennial Birthday card class tomorrow and wanted to make some cards using the stamp set that coordinates with the kit. I also worked on getting all the swaps photographed and most of the samples I made for Spring Fling. It was a busy day, but just doesn't feel like I got much accomplished.

So here it is Wednesday afternoon and my computer has been SOOOO SLOW! Our internet has been really dragging on top of everything else. I'll be better by next week, I hope!

Today I'll start sharing my swaps from Spring Fling. This first set of swaps are Sale-a-Bration sets. If you don't know what Sale-a-Bration is, it's just the BEST time of the year! Yes, better then Christmas! This year Stampin' Up! has two levels of FREE items! Usually it's for every $50 you spend you get a FREE Sale-a-Bration item, but this year there's also items if you spend $100 some others items to choose from! Plus on February 16 Stampin' Up! added 4 new items! Ok, let's get onto all the samples.
This first card was made by Annette and she used Amazing You. This stamp set also coordinates with a FREE die! This die is a Level 2. It was so good to see her, I haven't seen her in a long time! Anyway, the background looks like patterned paper, but she just stamped the main flower image all around the edges and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. It just looks beautiful! Plus she added those hard to get (at the moment) Epoxy Shapes from the Occasions Catalog.
This next card was done by Lisa. I love how she used several of the images from the Epic Celebrations set. She used the blends to color in the images, which also coordinates with the striped paper behind the images. That paper is also a FREE Sale-a-Bration item! It's called Bubbles & Fizz and also coordinates with Bubbles Over Bundle in the Occasions Catalog.
Irene made this next card. She used Happy Wishes, which is a $100 level Sale-a-Bration item. I would call this a word set. There's the "Happy" and there's also "Best" with the flowers and then there are 14 other words/phrases that go with the Happy & Best. Irene used the Happy as the focal point and stamped birthday in the bottom right hand corner.
Here Dale used Heartfelt Blooms. The Happy Birthday is from another set and not sure which she used because it's not listed. The sentiment is gold heat embossed. I've seen so many samples using this set. Most stamp the image multiple times or do a bunch of fussy cutting. When you have to make so many, you try and stay away from doing all that!
Last but not least is our Party Panda! Unfortunately they didn't put their name on it, so unless I go back and find the list, I don't know who to give credit to this one. So sad because she did a great job! Along with the Party Panda, she also used the Dynamic Scattered Sequins Embossing Folder. It's called Dynamic because it's one of those thick folders and you only use one acrylic plate when using the Big Shot. Another fun embellishment in the Occasions is the self-adhesive sequins! You don't get as many but they already have the adhesive on them and so much easier to use on a project!

Thanks for stopping by. I will try to get Friday's post up in the morning but not sure. I still have so much to do so no guarantees! Instead of listing all the products used, which takes a lot more time, just hop on over to my STORE and use this month's VIP Host Code F7H7Z6ZZ Please contact me if you have any questions about these projects, I'd be more then happy to help you.

Monday Madness!!!

Morning! At least it is while I'm writing this! Our annual Spring Fling event was Saturday and went great! Everyone had a wonderful time and the projects were all done in the time we had allotted! That's always a good thing! I spent yesterday and still today recovering from the event. I always have a great time but so exhausted after these events, I just need some down time. I didn't get a chance last week to get this week's post together so here I am doing them now.

I have some pictures to share today and so the post isn't too long, I'll post just a few. I took pictures of everyone's displays but mine! What was I thinking! Since I haven't unpacked yet, I'll take pictures of my displays and post them another day.

One of the projects we were worried about the most, went off fine. I only know of one person making a wrong cut, so I'd call that success! That's 1 out of 40 pretty good. I was busy leading everyone making the box so I wasn't taking any pictures while they were making them but did get a couple pictures once they were done.
This is the box everyone made. I found this from The Paper Pixie and she called it the Impossible Gift Box. Not to intimidate anyone we called it the Surprise Box. You can go on You Tube and find her video on how to make this. It's a fun box!
These next two pictures are how the box looks when you open it.
As you can see the top is attached or should I say part of the entire box. When you pull the top up, it creates a whole and that's how you can put your treats or gift inside.
Here's a picture of the entire group with their boxes complete!
This is a picture of the boxes from the table I was a helper at. We used the DSP from the Sweet Soiree Suite. Say that three times fast!
Here are a couple more pictures of my group working on their make n' takes during the day.
We had tables of 10, so one group of 5 worked on one project, while the other group worked on another project then they switched.

Thanks for stopping by. I'll start to have pictures of my swaps from Spring Fling on Wednesday. I should have recovered by then! If you'd like to get any of the Sweet Soiree Suite or any other products from any of the Stampin' Up! catalogs, you can find them on my STORE. Feature Friday

I've been working on getting everything ready for our big day tomorrow and just haven't had time to get my post together. I made a really cool card but didn't get a picture of it yet. It's already packed for Saturday. I also made a card for my husband, which I do have a picture of, so I'll share that one! I'll get everything else posted on Sunday or Monday. It's a busy weekend!

Here is this month's Product of the Month that I'm featuring each Friday. I realize today is the last Friday, but with our semi annual event, I've been a bit extra busy. I thought Stampin' Up! had a video using this bundle, but couldn't find one.
The stamp set comes in wood mount or clear. All the samples I've been making, I've talked a couple of other demonstrators into getting this bundle!
This is the card I made for my husband's birthday this past week. I did case this card, but made it simpler then who I got this from. I used the Myths and Magic washi tape on this card and the sentiment was Birthday Blooms I think. I'll check and will list all the products used. In the meantime. If you do want to get any of the products, you can find all the products in my STORE. Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll be more on track next week and share some pictures of our event as well.

Busy, Busy, Busy!!!

I've been so busy getting ready for Spring Fling, I haven't had a chance to put together a post for today! I have been making LOTS of samples, but they'll be part of up coming posts and didn't want to spoil it for those who will be at this weekend's event. So instead I thought I'd post a few videos of some of the product in the Occasions Catalog.

This first video is a showcasing of all the Designer Series Paper in the Occasions.

This next one is the Picture Perfect Party Suite. Great for making birthday and other celebration cards, scrapbook pages and 3D for like party favors!

This last video is all about the Barn Door Bundle. I did get this, but just haven't had much time to really play with it. Hopefully I'll have some samples for you soon! In the meantime, this video will show you how much fun this bundle can be!

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed these videos. You can find these products and more in my STORE. While shopping make sure you use this month's VIP Host Code F7H7Z6ZZIf you don't have a demonstrator, I'd love to be yours. Sympathy Cards

Recently one of the women in my monthly swap group, who I've known for a long time, lost both her parents in a week. I've lost both my parents years ago and know how difficult it is, but to loose both in such a short time, must be so hard. My heart goes out to her and her family.

Also another friend and customer of mine lost one of her cats recently. She's had a rough time this year with the health of her other cat and has been back and forth to the vet. She was not expecting the healthy one to have any problems.

With all this in mind, I wanted to make personalized cards for each.

Here is the card I made for Mena who lost her parents. I wanted to keep it simple and found this card on Pinterest so went with it. I changed out the ribbon, but I wanted simple and this fit the bill! This is a set in the annual catalog called Touches of Texture. I really like this set but don't seem to use it often! I will have to dig this out more! I used our Blends to color in the flowers & leaves.

This next card is for Doris. The cat she lost looks like a Siamese. He was a beautiful looking cat. I was going to use a retired stamp set I still have and then remembered the cat punch and it's still current! I did case this card but changed several things to make it my own.

Thanks for stopping by today. Even though these cards are sympathy cards you could easily change them for anything. I hope you give them a try. If you don't have a demonstrator, I'd love to be yours. I have extra benefits for my loyal customers which you can check out on my VIP Host Code and Wish List. You can find all the products on used on today's cards in my STORE or scroll down to find all the items listed. Make sure to use this month's VIP Host Code
