Feature Friday

Happy Friday! I feel like I'm finally catching up! I hope you've had a great week and going to do something fun for the weekend! I've had so many cards I've needed to make and realized late yesterday I still had to create something for today's post. I wish these were originals, but they're not. I had seen these two cards and just had to make them and this way it can keep me on track.

This month's Product I'm featuring is the new Nature's Poem Suite. There's a stamp set bundled with a framelit dies, twine, trinkets and designer series paper.

From what I've seen this has been a real popular suite. I have yet to use the trinkets but will, hopefully by next week.

This first card I CASED from Judy Almond who also CASED it from another demonstrator. At first I thought she stamped the piece that was punched, but realized it was the designer paper. I added a layer behind the designer paper. This card came together pretty quickly. I did a quick watercolor wash on a piece of watercolor paper with the Tranquil Tide ink. Since it's such a dark color I made sure to use plenty of water so when I stamped the tree it would pop.

Here's a close up of the punched area. I used some copper metallic thread behind all the layers. I think it adds a little wow.

This card was CASED from Tami Hewlett. This was a color challenge she participated in. As soon as I saw this I just HAD to make it. At first I wasn't sure where the blue and green leaves came from. This is SO COOL! After they were die cut then embossed, just color with the blends! I think one of the things I really like about this bundle and some others are the die pieces that just emboss. Plus Stampin' Up! came out with a embossing mats. It makes even more value out of your dies! You can now emboss with all your dies, even the ones that cut!

I did another close up of this card too. These foil leaves really add so much to this card and how easy they are! The strips of gray, blue, and green paper is just the Whisper White that was colored with the blends.
