Now that Thanksgiving is over, the mad rush is on to get everything else done! My husband asked me a few months ago if I wanted to go on a cruise. Of course I said yes! We haven't been on a real vacation in a while, where I don't have to cook and clean, so I jumped at it. Wasn't really thinking about the date, other then it would be cold here and we would be going to someplace warm! Guess I wasn't really thinking clearly! Besides, putting away my fall decorations, I need to get out my Christmas decorations, put up the tree, Christmas cards, I have posts to put together and a couple of classes to prep for!
Today I'm sharing what I'm doing for my monthly group swap. I'm not sure if I'll get them back in time before I head out to get them posted while I'm away, so I figured I share one now! The theme for November was a flat ornament. I pursued Pinterest and found a tree ornament.
I went to the site to see if they had any more info or suggestions, but the link didn't take me to this specific post and it was all in another language! So this is what I used for my instructions. Once I figured it out, which wasn't too hard, I came up with a way to make it pretty simple.
So here are some of the trees I've made so far. The center tree is what the back side looks like. You really don't use a lot of materials to make these trees. I used punches, but you could also use circle dies. I used the star from the Quilt Builder Framelits, but any star or whatever else you'd like for the tree top would be fine.
