Feature Friday

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! This year we celebrated it at our home. It's been a long time since we had everyone at our place, so it was nice not to have to haul everything another location! For those who are not out shopping I have some special treats for you! Since it's a countdown to Christmas, I'd show you some packaging you can do using the Christmas Quilt Bundle.

Well, I'm a bit late today! I had to work on the projects I was going to post! It's been a busy week, cleaning and getting everything ready for Thanksgiving.

So this first project is not packaging but thought it was so cute, I had to share. This was actually pretty simple to make. The whole thing is 8"x8". I used a little bit of three different papers from the Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper and the smallest square from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I attached all the squares with dimensionals onto a 4"x4" piece of Garden Green card stock.
This next project can a card, used for putting a candy bar, or a gift card. I used the Mini Treat Bag Framelits and the Wood Textures Designer Series paper stack to create the bag. The "quilt" part used Whisper White and a couple of sheets form the Quilted Christmas Designer Series paper stack.
This next item, is a package! I received a sample at a swap several years ago and saved it! It's a self closing diamond box. She had included the dimensions but was a little difficult to follow so I checked out YouTube and found several. There are different sizes you can make. I used a piece of 5"x7" piece of card stock. It would take too much to explain how to make it, so just google self closing diamond box. Maybe I'll get videos going soon and I can make my own video how to make this cute box. That's what's so neat about this box, it closes by itself! You don't need tape or any adhesive for it to close!
This last project is also super simple to make. These are great to handing out to anyone. Just a nice way to say thank you! Any snack size treat will fit in these as well. You'll need a piece of 6"x6" piece of patterned paper. You don't need any adhesive to hold it all together, but I do like to add a glue dot right under the flap.
