Feature Friday

TGIF! Well better late then never! What a busy day and week. I had gotten half of the cards done but couldn't get to finish them until this afternoon. In trying to figure out what I wanted to do, I found a few samples using the bundle but wanted to do more stamping then making the specialty paper the focal point. So to save on time, I did a lot of CASEing (Copy And Share Everything).

As a recap, I've been trying to Feature a Bundle from a current catalog and highlight that bundle all month long on Fridays. For May, I Featured the Share What You Love since it's a special this month. This is something everyone can get before it's available in the catalog next month. There are 3 bundles, "Just Getting Started", "A Little More", and "Gotta Have It All". You can check them out in my STORE.
These are the main products I used on today's cards. They are all in the the "A Little More" Bundle.
This first card I CASED from Sarah Klass. I thought this was so interesting I had to figure out what she did.  To me it looked like it was watercolored but looking closer saw it wasn't. The image is dry embossed using the Lovely Floral Dynamic Embossing Folder then colored everything on the debossed side with Blends. I used Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler, and Pink Pirouette. The Pink is retiring but we'll have a new Pink which I think would work great.
This next card I CASED from Cindy Elam. I did change this one up a bit. She had used one of the pieces from the embellishment kit to stamp the "thank you". Since I was trying to use minimal product, I used a strip of Very Vanilla and popped it up with some dimensionals. Here I embossed the same flower and added the color on the embossed side. I used daubers to add color to the embossed images.
This last card was CASED from Stamp a Latte.  I'm not sure exactly what she did, but I embossed the floral image 2x on the front panel. It also looked like she used markers to color the images and sentiment, so that's what I did. I had tried to see if using the markers would also work for coloring in the flowers but that wasn't looking right, so I pulled out my Blends and that was the trick! I used the Rich Razzleberry combo and the color lifter, just to lighten the top edges.

I hope you enjoyed these cards. If you don't have a demonstrator, I'd love to be yours. I have specials just for my loyal customers which you can find info about in the tabs above. These bundles are available in my STORE. I've also listed the products I used below. Depending on which bundle you choose you may not to get some of the other items. When shopping make sure to use this month's VIP Host Code 4MXCH2YS. Have a great weekend!
