Pysanka at Octoberfest!

Yes! Pysanka or Pysanky? No? It's an old art form of wax resist egg decorating. I'll get more into next week. I'm at camp today at our annual Octoberfest for adults! I'm making a basket and teaching some adult Girl Scouts the art of Pysanka! This was something we were going to do a few years ago and the event was cancelled so instead of doing my paper crafting this weekend I decided to do this instead. I had to catch up on making some new eggs and had some fun doing so. I'm not great at drawing, so if I can do this so can you! If you're interested in getting together to do this, let me know, I have the supplies. Here is a picture of my recent creations.

It's hard to see, but the white eggs are how you start out, then the black and white one is starting to put the wax on. Maybe I'll even finish it over the weekend! I'll try and remember to take some pictures so I can post next week.

That's all for now! Have a great weekend!
