Feature Friday

Hope you had a great week! For some you may have had an extra day off! When I worked retail, holidays didn't mean much except for time and a half! So glad I'm not doing that and really don't like to "hit the stores" on holidays if I don't have to. I feel so bad for those who have to work on the big holidays and can't spend that time with their family or friends.

I'm having some internet issues, so this post is a bit late. Hopefully the others won't be effected. I'm so excited about this month's feature! I am about all of them or I wouldn't be doing this, but this is a different bundle for me and have been having so much fun playing around with this product suite.

For those who may be just stopping by for the first time, I do a Product of the Month and Feature it each Friday of that month. This month, is the Product I'm featuring is the suite Tranquil Textures on pages 154 and 155 of the Annual Catalog.

I'll be featuring all of these products each Friday, so be sure to stop by each week to see what's new! This first card I created for my Brusho Class I had last month. For me, this was the most fun to create! I have a couple of close up pictures, just so you can see some of the little details that I think really make this card. You'll be able to purchase all the products used from my STORE or I'll have a list below of all the products I used.
The little fishes are making a mask from one of the dies and then using a sponge to ink the fishes onto the card.
In this picture, I'm showing the two tone octopus and the beads below it. BTW, the beads are my monthly VIP gift to you! Just use my VIP Host Code 9MD4MGKV I did case this card but unfortunately don't have the info who I cased it from.
This picture just show the knot. I basically made a loop and tied it then cut the loop. I thought it had a nautical look. It did take some time to make this card, but SO worth it!
So this card I wanted to showcase something much easier. I also cased this from a demonstrator overseas, but don't have her info either! I'm so sorry! To make the square, I die cut a square from card stock and held it in place. It probably would have been easier if I taped it down but didn't think of it at the time! The background ink is just sponged on. I used that same mask that I used for the first card for this card too.

I hope you enjoyed these projects/cards for the first week of of my Tranquil Textures. If you have any questions on how to do either of these cards, please contact me, I'd be more then happy to help! I have more planned and if all goes well, with my internet, I'll have them up! Make sure you use this month's VIP Host Code 9MD4MGKV to earn your FREE gift from ME! Scroll down for a list of all the products I used to make these cards.
