On Stage Swaps

Well I haven't had a chance to get much stamping in lately, so I'd thought I'd share some of the swaps I got at On Stage! Some are items that are retiring and some are not, so if it is, make sure you order it soon!

This first card reminded me of the one I did for the Shoebox swap I was in. I used the same embossing folder but did a kiss technique with the debossed image. So glad that the embossing folder is staying, however the balloons on the card are not:-( They are a part of the Balloon Adventures stamp set. This is part of the Party Animal suite. The framelit made a great pop out for your card.

This next card is so easy. I have this stamp set (Country Livin') and so glad it's returning as well. The DSP is actually a part of Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper. You'd never know it with this card! I like the way they thought outside the box! This would be a great card for my son. He loves to play the guitar and has gotten pretty good at it!

This last card for today is using a set called "In the Meadow". They used a technique called spotlighting. Very simple. Another easy card to make. I really like this set also. I think it's a set you could use to make some masculine cards.

I hope you enjoyed some of swaps today. If you'd like to get any of these items, you can order them through my online store HERE! I'd love to hear from you and what you think and what else you'd like to see! Keep Stampin'!

Eastern Palace Sneak Peek!!!

So have you seen the Eastern Palace? As a demonstrator, we are able to purchase this month to begin making samples and put together classes. It will be available to customers starting May 1 (not too far away). I finally had a chance to play with it a bit. I'm also working on putting together a class to have at my studio and as a "to go" package. So stay tuned for that! This suite uses new In Colors that will be available starting June 1!

This suite is called Eastern Palace and uses Fresh Fig, Tranquil Tide, and Lemon Lime Twist. In this card it only use two of those colors. As you can see, they have some new tassels too! They come in the gold, Tranquil Tide, & Fresh Fig.

Here is a closeup of the area that was die cut. I love the dimension, don't you? You can also see the new vinyl stickers that are a part of this suite. The one in the center on top and another underneath. I could have just attached it to the layer underneath, but used some dimensionals to lift it a bit more.

This card uses three other dies in the set. The dies are really different then anything we've had before and feel you can do so much with it. Here you can see the Lemon Lime Twist color. It's very bright so you don't need to use a lot of it.

Here the card uses the same die as above but has an added one to the center to give it another look. This card also uses the Fresh Fig tassel and another vinyl sticker.

Here's a close up of the image. Again I used a bit of Lemon Lime Twist along with the Fresh Fig and Tranquil Tide.

I hope you've enjoyed these cards. I'll be making some more and figuring which ones I'll be using for class. If you have any opinions, please leave a comment, I'd love to hear from you!

Remember this will be available May 1 and look for details about a class using this suite!

In the meantime, don't forget about the retirement list and all the stamps, inks, paper and embellishment that are retiring. There are so many items that have been reduced, they won't last! You can check out everything HERE!

On Stage

Here we go! Hopefully with everything happening in my life right now I can stay on top of these posts! This first picture is of the group I was with at On Stage.
The day before the event, another demo friend, Pat and I participated in a Shoebox Swap and while on line for our On Stage bags, we met one of the ladies that was at the swap (third from left) and found out through chatting with her she was there all by herself and asked if she would like to join us. I hope she had a good time and it was really nice to meet her. Hopefully we will see her again at another Stampin' Up! event!

These were 3 of the 4 that we made. The fourth I'll show in another post. They all were quick and simple to do.

This first card we used a set called Daisy Delight along with the items in that suite. There is coordinating DSP, ribbon, a punch, and these fabulous gems. These are nice soft colors and I can see using this set for other things besides thank you cards.

Here is a close up of the gem. I'm not sure it really shows it off well, but take my word for it, they are pretty and come in several sizes and in the gold that we used and also silver.

This next card uses the new Memories and more card packs.  Similar to what we now carry but the great part about these are they coordinate even better with several different product suites. I believe this one goes with a suite call Color Theory and is geared toward all the different seasons. We stamped a bit on one of the cards and the big flower is cut from one of the cards. The ribbon is soft and easy to tie.

This last card is part of the Birthday Memories Suite. You can stamp the fox from the stamp set but we used the coordinating DSP and framelits! Yup, that's right! The stamp set, framelits, & DSP are a bundle! So no fussy cutting! There are a couple of phrases that fit in the banner and several greetings.

I hope you've enjoyed today's share. Don't forget to check out everything that's retiring! There are lots that are discounted as well. Everything is while supplies last except the stamps, that is available until May 22 then those will also be while supplies are available. Some things have already sold out!

Happy Easter/Passover!

I'm a bit behind in my blog posts. After going to On Stage, I've had several things pop up to prevent me from staying on top of things.

I hope you all had a nice holiday. I have a quick project I wanted to share yesterday, but still playing catch up! :-( I made this mini egg carton for my mil for Easter. If you get my newsletter you've already seen the outside so here I'm sharing the outside and inside! I'm not posting all the products I used, so if you're interested in what I used, please contact me and I'll be happy to help. They are though for your information ALL retiring! :-( I loved these and thought the carton wouldn't carry over but really loved the Basket Bunch Bundle. Go HERE to see if any of these items are still available!

The cartons come plain, kinda an off white color, neutral color so you can color them whatever color you want or leave them natural! I made mine a lilac, using the spray mister and Wisteria Wonder.

Of course I had to put CHOCOLATE in it! I also used the Soft Sublets paper stack.

I hope you enjoyed this and will be posting more in the days to come of all the sneak peaks of the upcoming catty!

All items are while supplies last (except stamp sets will be until May 22 then they'll be while supplies last). Look at those wish lists and get those items you've been wanting, once they're gone, they're gone! I'll post some swaps that I just received with retired products tomorrow. One of my favorites leaving in the Occasions is the Oh So Succulent bundle.

Bunnies!!!

This has been an extremely busy week for me and will keep my posts SHORT! I know it's only Wednesday, but I'm heading to Richmond, VA very early Friday morning, so I'm trying to schedule a few for while I'm away.

So I wanted to make some bunnies for Easter and was thinking of using March's Paper Pumpkin kit but was afraid I wouldn't have enough so remembered that the Curvy Keepsakes Framelit makes cute bunnies! I found some samples on Pinterest but changed mine up a bit. Of course I filled them with chocolate! How could you not! I hope you like it! The stamping is done with the March Paper Pumpkin kit! That was convenient!

Shoebox Swap

It seems like I just can't get away from swaps! That's all I've been talking about! There has been a lot going on to prepare for On Stage and in between all that I'm designing for my classes as well! So anyway I decided to use what I did in my Technique Class this month. I did need to change it because I was using some Sale-a-Bration product that won't be available.
So this is what we did in Technique Class for March (I will be doing this class again). The Designer Series Paper is the Sale-a-Bration paper you can get for FREE! If you still want this paper it's still available until March 31! This is the Kissing Technique. You usually use two stamps to do this but I used the Celebrations Duo Embossing Folder instead!
Here is a sample of the embossing folder used as intended. While making this sample it gave me the idea to do the above card!
So here is my card for the shoebox swap! Here I used the Party Animal Designer Series paper, also a Sale-a-Bration item! This paper was added about a week ago. So if you want to get this paper, I believe it's still available, for FREE that is!
So this is what is looks like when I had them laid out and ready to package. I had to make 24 ahead of time that will be swapped out while I'm making 24! I did do a bit more prep work then I would do for a class but that's so I didn't have to bring my Big Shot and also to speed things up a bit. It's suppose to take about 10 minutes or less to do a card. It took me about 6 minutes but I knew what I was doing. So now to write up some simple instructions so everyone can make theirs in less then 10 minutes!

There are only a few days left to Sale-a-Bration, so if you want to purchase anything, now is the time! The supplies I used are all below. You can click on any item or SHOP NOW! If you have any questions, I'm here to help, just contact me.
