October Group Swaps - Last Week!

The race is on for Christmas! If you haven't gotten your cards out yet, I have a couple of easy cards for you! These are the last two swaps from my October Group Swap. For those who haven't been to my blog before, I participate in a monthly group swap and the theme changes each month. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone made for November, the theme is flat ornaments. I haven't made mine, but have a few ideas. Unfortunately I won't be posting any of them the week before Christmas. I'll be away and the swaps will come in while I'm away.

So back to the swap. October theme was a sketch.

The card was made by Debbie. This is a great card to put together with minimal supplies. She used the Merry Mistletoe, which is a new set in the Annual Catalog. I love how she used the paper with the deer in it to go with the stamped image. The paper is from this suite, it's called Be Merry Designer Series Paper. Debbie also used the Holly Embossing Folder and the Stitched Shapes Framelits.

This next card was done by Mena. She used the same color combo as Debbie just switched the red and green. Mena used the Painted Harvest as her focal point. I've also seen others use the flower part as a wreath and used the dots that's in the center as berries. She also used the Stitched Shapes Framelits.

November Techniques

I hope you had a great weekend and enjoyed your Thanksgiving. We had a great weekend and now in gear to get the house set up for Christmas before we leave on vacation!

I thought I'd start sharing the projects we do at Technique Class. If you'd like to join the fun when we have class, check out my class schedule and RSVP. I usually have 2 classes each month. One is a week night and during the winter, I have the other on a Saturday morning, usually the 3rd Saturday.

This was a fun card to do. I love the way it turned out, very festive!
Here's a close up of the front panel.

This is the inside.

This is a card I would make for some special friends. Again pretty simple but a little too much to mass produce unless you've got the time!

Here is another card using the Blossom Builder punch and stamp set. Aren't those cute fishies? Here I used Pool Party and Peekaboo Peach ink.
