Feature Friday!

It's TGIF time! I hope you had wonderful week. Another week has just flow by for me! I'm looking forward the weekend and having a little down time. One of the things I was working on this week was the cards for my rescheduled Brusho Class. I decided one of the cards I'd do for today could be a card you'll make at my Brusho Class!

So this month's Product of the Month is the Nature's Poem. This new product really spoke to me. I really like earthy/nature stamps and colors and this has it all!
This is the stamps, coordinating framelits, which has a few pieces that emboss the card stock, paper, twine, and trinkets. Love these colors! One of the things I wanted to accomplish was to incorporate the trinkets in the projects. Mission accomplished!
I was looking on Pinterest for ideas and had seen some that were done with the Brusho Crystals and did like a silhouette image. I thought that this would look great. I was going to use the Burlap Ribbon, but thought it might take too much away from the background, so I used the twine that's a part of this suite. I also used one of the leaf trinkets. I was going for a sunrise or sunset look. I'm happy with it. Hope you like it too!
This next card I cased from Lauren Alarid. I thought it looked so stunning and just had to make it! I did change a couple of things, but this is mostly how she did hers. I did a close up so you could see the some of the detail.
Her trees looked a little different and had to find out what she did. She just inked in the colors and then added Gold Embossing powder. She said she waited 3-4 seconds before adding the embossing powder. Well when I did that, it looked like it stuck to pretty much everything, so I used a brush to remove some of the powder. I also tried on the leaves to just flick it real hard and that seemed to work well also. I think it was so cool to see the green color come through the gold embossing.
Here's another close up of the leaves, trinket, twine, and wood element. I'm not sure if you can see it well, but I also used the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Embossing Folder, which I thought added just the right touch.

I hope you enjoyed these projects and give it a whirl yourself! The Brusho card is really pretty simple. If you liked that and want to learn more about using Brusho, you'll need to come to class next week on Tuesday. All the details for the class you can find HERE. All the products can be found in my STORE or scroll down for all the items posted. Make sure you're using this month's VIP Host Code JSYCFKXE when placing your order.
