You Are My Anchor Paper Pumpkin Kit

Since Paper Pumpkin has a special until May 10 for first time subscribers. You can get the kit for 50% off your first 2 months! I thought this would be a great time to show some alternatives using the most recent kit, You Are My Anchor.

This is what you make with this kit. You make 4 note cards of 5 different designs and there are 4 boxes to put the cards and envelopes in.
Here are the kit contents. The lighthouse and anchor are the same size as the stamps in the set.
This first card uses one of the note cards as the background layer under the piece of Whisper White. The images are randomly stamped using the images in the stamp set and my own, Crumb Cake & Pool Party inks. I also used my punches to punch out a piece of Pool Party card stock and from the piece that goes around the box. The card base is Calypso Coral card stock. I need to thank Kelly Acheson for this card.
This next card is a shaker card. I got this idea from Tina Rackley Riddle & Lori Mueller. I used the Champagne Foil for the window rim and one of the note cards for the background and the lighthouse die cut. I stamped the birds and glued some sequins to the background so there will always be some "floating" I got the sequins from some past Paper Pumpkin kits.
This card I used the blue Brusho on as a "stormy" background. I got this idea from Jenny Hall.  I sprayed the Shimmery White card stock (front and back) then sprinkled some Brusho on it. Since it wasn't doesn't as much as I wanted, I pulled out my Aqua Painter and did a wash all over and liked this much better. The round circle piece is from the kit, as is everything else. I had a piece leftover from the first card, so I used that as my strip behind the circle. Since it wasn't really long enough I cut it in half. Now it looks like it's one long piece!
This last card was also from Kelly Acheson. This one wiped up in no time! The only thing that isn't part of the kit, is the card base, Pool Party. I took the other half of the note card from the shaker card and trimmed it down a bit and layered it on one of the other note cards, which was cut in half. The striped piece is another not card trimmed down to fit on the card base.

I hoped you enjoyed these ideas. So if you get the kits, save your leftovers! You never know when you're going to need them. If you don't get Paper Pumpkin yet, now is the time! When you sign up by May 10 you'll get your first 2 months at 50% off! That's $10 a month! Besides making the kit, you can always make other cards or projects using the kit. The kits contain everything you need to complete the projects except scissors. I so look forward to getting my kit and putting some time aside to make the kit and then come up with some alternative projects as well. It's like getting a present each month, delivered right to my door! To start your subscription click HERE. Check back next month for more ideas using May's kit.
