Sketch Challenge

As trying to figure out what I would post for today since I haven't received my swaps for December yet, I thought I'd try out a sketch challenge. It's something I've been wanting to do and just never seem to have the time to do it regularly. A group "Freshly Made Sketches" has a weekly sketch. It turns out that this current sketch was put up for 2 weeks! Lucky me!

Since I haven't participated in one of their sketches before, hopefully I'll do this right! I wanted to use some new product with the Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration just starting. Then it was what to use! After looking at the sketch, I thought I'd use the Petal Palette bundle. The design team each pick a "clean princess" and then announce the "Queen of Clean". Wish me luck! I'll have to try another challenge and post later this week.

So here's my creation! I really like the way it turned out. I used a piece of the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper for the background. I colored the flowers in with the new Blends. I then embossed the Calypso Coral piece with the Petal Pair embossing folder. There are two embossing folders to the Petal Pair. One looks like leaves and stems, which I used. The other has flowers. They are only about 2 1/4" wide, so it was perfect what what I wanted to do. The stamp set has the main floral image that I used along with a few smaller ones, a large leaf image, a bird, and several sentiments. I really like the font in this set.

The dies cut out the large flower that I used along with some other floral and leaf dies, the bird, a label, and some others. I put a picture of the bundle here so you can see everything this bundle has. It really is a great value. I've been thinking of using this bundle for one of my product of the month, maybe when spring starts!

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope this sparked some of your creativity and you give this sketch a try. You can find all these products in my STORE or look below for all the items I used on these cards.
