New Catalog Swaps!!!

I have SO MANY swaps from the new catalog to share with you! I organized a swap in May. As demonstrators we get to order from the new annual catalog before it goes LIVE! We couldn't order everything but were able to order many different stamps, bundles, accessories, etc. For those who attended On Stage, they were able to order other stamps, bundles, etc. that wasn't part of the pre-order, plus they received at least 3 stamp sets just for attending the event! How cool is that! If you'd like more info on joining my team, you can contact me, or check out the tab, Join My Team.

Anyway, back to all these swaps! We had 3 groups. The third group had only 6 people in it so I'm going to share all of these today. The other groups, I'm going to split up, because it's just going to make the post too long!

New Monthly Host Code

In case you didn't see it or check, I have updated my Monthly VIP Host Code! I coordinated it this month with my Product of the Month, Nature's Poem Suite which has the Rooted in Nature stamp set and coordinating dies Nature's Roots Framelits. What a great suite! Anyway, with your order of $75 or more* you can get the Leaves Trinkets!
* if your order is $150 or more - do not use the host code, instead redeem the Stampin' Rewards at the time of placing your order.  You will still qualify for the VIP Gift.

*smaller orders may qualify when you place multiple orders throughout the month, using the host code,  and they total up to $75 or more.

Here is the screen for where to put that Hostess Code. Also if you are your own Hostess make sure it says at the top of the screen you are shopping with me! Questions, contact me!

May Monthly Swaps are in!!!

I have so many swaps to share with you this month! Today I'm sharing some of the swaps I received from my monthly group that I do. For May, I was the host and had a theme of Fancy Fold. What great samples I received! Since I'm trying to catch up and get more posted on time, I'm going to keep this short. Also a couple of the swaps have some recently retired product, so I'll post them first. I'm also going to keep with the same format and post the materials used after each picture, so it'll be easier to figure out what goes with what.

This first card was done by Lilly Ruiz. She did a "Z Fold" card. They call it that because it looks like a "Z". What's different about this card is the size. When folded it's 3 11/16" x 4 1/4". I'm pretty sure that the right size. Those sixteenths can throw a person off! You can get three of these out of one sheet of card stock! Isn't that great! Especially when you have a lot of some to make!.
In this picture you can see that "Z". This patterned paper has retired. I really loved this paper. You had just a few patterns of the five In Colors that came out last year. At least these colors are still current. Just think how many you can get using all that patterned paper!
Stamps: Picture Perfect Birthday
Ink: Memento Black
Card Stock: Powder Pink, Thick Whisper White, Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Powder Pink Shimmer Ribbon
This next card was done by Mena Green. I'm not sure exactly what you call this type of fold, but you do 3 different score lines and you get this tiered look. I've usually seen this as a portrait style, so it's great to see this in a landscape look. Something I don't think I'd would have thought about. To make this card you'll need a piece of 5 1/2" x 11" piece of card stock and score it at: 1 1/4", 4", 6 3/4". You can stamp the sections, use a coordinating piece of card stock or use patterned paper or a combination like Mena did here.
Here's the card fully opened. This was fun patterned paper she used. I recently did a class using this paper. Great for not just birthday's but for any type of celebration.
Stamps: Picture Perfect Birthday, Perennial Birthday
Ink: Berry Burst
Card Stock: Picture Perfect Designer Series Paper, Pool Party, Berry Burst, Whisper White
Accessories: Circle Framelits, Big Shot, Glimmer dots

I hope you enjoyed these cards. Unfortunately everything isn't available, but what is still current, you can find in my STORE. Don't forget to use this month's VIP Host Code JSYCFKXE. If you'd like to make some great birthday cards using this Picture Perfect paper, I'll be having another class on June 12. You can check my CALENDAR. You must register for this event!!!

New Product of the Month - Rooted in Nature

A lot going on already this month and it's just begun! I just had swaps due from 2 different groups and the new annual catalog has just begun! I was able to get the Rooted in Nature as a demonstrator early and just love this bundle/suite! You can buy the stamp set and the framelits separately but when you can save 10%, why not get both!

Each month I spotlight a bundle/suite on Friday and call it Feature Friday. Unfortunately I've been a bit late the last couple of weeks. I'm trying to get better. Hopefully by next week, I'll have this up on Friday!

I can see so many different cards, scrapbook pages, and home decor using this suite! I used this in one of my swaps. How easy will it be to make masculine cards with this suite and fall is a natural. So here are my first cards I made using this suite. I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do for my swap and wasn't sure if I'd have enough of the designer series paper so I went without. First I'll share a video that Stampin' Up! did and then the cards I did.

Card look familiar? I loved the look and wanted to try it. I changed it slightly because I wouldn't have enough of the paper to use for all the swaps. How do you like it? Very easy to do.
This next card I cased from Nicole Wilson. She used some embellishments I didn't have and I wanted an extra layer. I did fussy cut the "you are wonderful". The leaves I used copper embossing powder and then die cut them. The tree is also die cut.
This next card I cased from Tanja Kolar. I'm not sure what country she's from because her card isn't in English. I changed a few things around to make it my own and very happy with the way it turned out. The sentiment is embossed with white embossing powder.
This last card is what I finally decided to be my swap. I did case this as well from Erin Gunson. She did some stitching and a bow. I wanted this to be more  class friendly so I opted not to do that. I used some of the twine that's part of the suite. I used 2 pieces and just tied them together then used my paper piercer to separate the strands. I like this look and think it gives a great! I hope you agree. I did this with the Stamparatus, which is available to everyone! I really believe this is the best stamp positioning tool on the market!

I hope you enjoyed these cards. Please leave a comment, I'd love to hear from you. You can find all these products in my STORE or scroll down to find the products listed. If you don't have a demonstrator, I'd love to be yours. When shopping, make sure to use this month's brand new VIP Host Code JSYCFKXE. You can always contact me, with questions.
