Paper Pumpkin Alternative

I have some alternative ideas for you using your October Paper Pumpkin kit. If you haven't tried the Paper Pumpkin kits, you really need to. The kits are great and there is always other things you can do with your kit besides what it was designed for. There is a Facebook page and a Pinterest board as well finding ideas here! October design was a winter shaker card. Who doesn't love a shaker card! Do you see the green plaid? Well that is what the outside of the box looked like! So adorable.

These are the two cards you can make in the kit. This kit had 12 cards.

So for this alternative, I punched the holly leaves and had some red pearls from an old kit, so I used them! The red stripe is the Real Red 1/8" ribbon. The card bases are the green plaid, so I cut up one of the cards to make these two cards.

Here I layered the green plaid on a Whisper White foundation. I inked the phrase with VersaMark and used white embossing powder. The stars are from the kit and I used that same Real Red Ribbon.

November Technique

Hi! I hope you had a great weekend! Mine was very busy! When you read this I will just be starting my vacation! I sure am looking forward to it, but going a bit crazy getting ready for it! I'm sure you know what I mean!

So today I have another card to share with you from class. This card I shared on Thanksgiving with you. It's the same technique, just using different product. As I mentioned last week, check out my class schedule and reserve your spot!

This was another fun card to create. It was pretty simple, what took the most amount of time was all the embellishments! The technique is called the Double Gate Fold. I give my mil birthday cards for Christmas and this will be one that I give her. It just makes it easier for her to give out birthday cards so she doesn't have to go shopping for them. She loves getting them each year and I'm sure the recipients enjoy getting them as well! It's like giving a double gift!

Here is the inside of the card. When all folded it's an A2 size and fits in a regular A2 envelope.
