Well if you've been following me, you know I've been overwhelmed with renovations! We are close to being done and hopefully by the end of next week I'll be done or only a few finishing touches. If you ever watch those home renovation shows, things NEVER go like that in real life! It felt like at every turn, there was another issue! These renovations we've been doing are on the first house my husband I bought and since my hubby is a very handy guy, he changed it into a two family house which helped a great deal in paying the mortgage and then giving us a small income. So this is where the renovations have been taking place. It's about an hour drive to get there and since we don't do rush hour, we try to leave when that over and try to head home before it begins! Another reason it's taken so long. Thus the reason for not much happening here. Lately, by the time we get home, I make dinner and whatever else needs tending to, I don't get much time or energy for any creativity! For the month of April my Product of the Month that I'll feature each Friday will be the Petal Passion Suite, specifically the Petal Pallette Bundle. I do have a few samples, but think I've already posted them from some other things that I had going on. Stampin' Up! does have a video that I thought I'd share to give you an idea of all the wonderful products in this suite!
Here is the bundle. The stamp set comes in clear mount or wood. There are 10 dies. Some die cut the images in the stamp images, the others coordinate with the set.
This is from the catalog showing cards you can make using the suite. What's great about the black and white is you can use whatever colors you want, including coloring the Designer Series Paper!
This is the rest of the product suite. I had the ribbon as a VIP Host Code gift from last month and this month you can get the embellishments!
Thanks for stopping by. I'm hoping to be back next week with some fresh ideas using this suite. Please also check out my new VIP Host Code VSZMUHCA when purchasing any of the above product used. You can find all these items and more in my STORE.
I hope you had a wonderful Easter and Passover. I'm still in the midst of renovations and hoping to be done next week. If not, it'll be pretty close! I was so busy with all that then getting ready for company on Easter I haven't had any extra time to stamp! I thought I'd share a video on using your markers to stamp.
If you'd like to get all the markers and don't want to spend that kind of money all at once, you can do it as a marker club! Contact me and we can get your club set up! Marker Club Details:

Sorry this is a late post today! Well I'm off from renovating so I can get the house ready for company on Sunday! I didn't have time to get this ready ahead of time and had to get out this morning to run errands and food shopping. I hope you're off for the weekend and enjoying your weekend. So today is the last week for my Cake Soiree Bundle Feature Friday. I wish I had the time to make some originals for you, but with everything going on in my life right now. I'm hoping things will quiet down in a couple more weeks.
So if you're wondering what I'm talking about with the Feature Friday, let me explain. I choose a project in a current catalog that I want to Feature each Friday. For the month of March I've Featured the Cake Soiree Bundle and the entire product suite. There are so many great coordinating products with this suite it's hard to use just one item. This stamp set comes in wood or clear mount and has multiple dies that will cut out just one image. So you can stamp say the leaves two times and use the two coordinating dies to cut them out.
Since my birthday is tomorrow, I thought these projects would be great! They came together very quickly. The Sweet Soiree Designer Series Paper does most of the work.
This birthday card I used Birthday Blossoms for the sentiment and all the embellishments are from the Sweet Soiree Embellishment kit. The only other item I used besides the Berry Burst ink was the Layering Ovals. I CASEd this card from Mary Hanson. She showed using this same layout and changing the sentiment for whatever occasion you need. Her birthday card used another stamp set. I thought this one worked great.
Here's a close up of the gorgeous embellishments. This kit really makes your projects come together quickly and look great!
Aren't these mini gable boxes adorable? I CASEd this project from Sharon Armstrong. Not much to put this all together. Isn't the tag beautiful? So elegant! Anyway I took a 2" x 12" piece of the Sweet Soiree DSP and wrapped around the box. BTW, this box is easy to put together.
Here you can see the detail on the tag. I stamped the sentiment and the lined flower with Berry Burst and the solid flower with Calypso Coral. The other flower was stamped with VersaMark and I used Silver Embossing Powder. Then just die cut everything and put together. If you haven't tried this ribbon you really need to. It's one of the new In Colors, Berry Burst Metallic edge and is so soft! I hope you enjoyed these projects and have sparked your creativity! Stop by my studio for a class sometime and get more inspiration! You can find all these products in my STORE or scroll down for a list of all the products used. Ok onto Paper Pumpkin! Have you seen this month's kit? Really beautiful! It's called May Good Things Grow. Here are the contents of the kit. Do you see item with the "5" on it? That's the FREE gift this month for celebrating their 5 year anniversary. The gift is wood elements, natural on one side and white on the other.
Lots of elements in this kit. The inkspot is Early Espresso and you can make 8 cards, 4 of 2 designs with envelopes.
Aren't these cards gorgeous! Let's start with the top left and go clockwise. It's an envelope with a pre-printed border. The flowers are a punch out. The next is also an envelope with the word "Flower" and the rose already printed on it. Below that is a card base of Fresh Fig with a layer of Crumb Cake that has similar roses printed. Lastly, this card I stamped the four corners and sentiment. This was the most amount of stamping.
Here is one of my alternatives using the kit. I used the envelope and cut off the flap to create a pocket. I then took one of the cards and cut it in half and punched out a piece of Fresh Fig using the Pretty Label punch.
The large flower element was cut in half and used one of the sticker strips along the edge. I cut a piece of the ribbon and used one of the wood elements and punch out leaves. I wrapped some of the linen thread around the envelope and tied a bow. For the pull out I stamped the corners and one of the sentiments in the kit.
Here's another that I CASED (Copy And Share Everything). But I can't seem to find who I CASED from! I decided to use some of the wood elements and did direct to ink to color them.
This last one is came up with myself. Here I used the printed leaves and stamped the flower image a couple of times and fussy cut them. I used one of the cards and cut it in half and took one of the wood elements and pushed it into the Fresh Fig ink pad then used it like a stamp and created a border around this layer. I used tweezers to keep my hands on the cleaner side. I also adhered some of the colored pearls. I hope you've enjoyed these creations. Hope you had a great weekend! The snow is melting and the temps are finally warming up! I'm still working on our renovations but getting close to the end! This is my other monthly swaps. If you're new to my blog, I participate in a group swap each month and whoever is the host chooses the theme. For February the theme was Sale-a-Bration. Also with that being said, we are in our last few days, so make sure you take advantage of all the FREE products you can get with your purchases!
Our first card today was made byCarol Barbati and she used the Celebrate You thinlits. I really love these. These are available with a $100 order. Carol also used the Brusho Crystals in the Occasions catalog. I sure hope this product carries over into the Annual catalog. Her card base is Night of Navy with a layer of Real Red. She did the Brusho on watercolor paper and use the spritzer to move the Brusho and added wink of stella to the die cut. Don't you just love this! There really is no wrong way to use that Brusho.
This next card Laura Bornstein used the Heartfelt Blooms, another one of my Sale-a-Bration favorites. Her card base is Old Olive and layered the Petal Garden DSP. The floral image she stamped with Calypso Coral and colored the center with the Daffodil Delight Blends. Laura also used the Layering Ovals for the sentiment. I don't think you can see in the picture but she also used the the Softly Falling Embossing Folder on the DSP and just a small piece of the Old Olive Sheer Ribbon with the sentiment and used dimensionals to give it a bit of height.
This was another one of my favorites. Vicki Wu did this card with Amazing You and the Celebrate You thinlets. Vicki stamped the flower a couple of times and one is gold embossed and fussy cut. She also die cut all this with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. Lastly the "amazing" is from the Celebrate You and those leaves are from the Leaf punch which is a carry over from the Holiday Mini. Vicki's colors are Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Black Memento, and gold.
Here Lilly Ruiz also used the Heartfelt Blooms too, but just the sentiment. The butterfly is from Beautiful Day. What a great idea to emboss the the butterfly on the Delightful Daisy! To continue the butterfly theme she use the Fluttering Embossing Folder.
This last card was made by Jen Sootkoos. She used the Lots of Lavender. I love how simple this card is. I'm guessing she choose her colors by the Naturally Eclectic DSP, Fresh Fig and Lemon Lime Twist. The Fresh Fig layer was embossed with the Scattered Sequins Dynamic Embossing Folder. The strip of glimmer paper from the Myths and Magic really gives it a great pop! What a great idea using the Bitty Bows on top! I hope you enjoyed all these samples. This should give you some great ideas using these fabulous products. Remember, hurry Sale-a-Bration ends Saturday! Thank you for stopping by. I look forward to your comments. You can find all these products in my STORE. If you don't have a demonstrator, I've love to be yours. There are all kinds of benefits for shopping with me.
