You Are My Anchor Paper Pumpkin Kit

Since Paper Pumpkin has a special until May 10 for first time subscribers. You can get the kit for 50% off your first 2 months! I thought this would be a great time to show some alternatives using the most recent kit, You Are My Anchor.

This is what you make with this kit. You make 4 note cards of 5 different designs and there are 4 boxes to put the cards and envelopes in.
Here are the kit contents. The lighthouse and anchor are the same size as the stamps in the set.
This first card uses one of the note cards as the background layer under the piece of Whisper White. The images are randomly stamped using the images in the stamp set and my own, Crumb Cake & Pool Party inks. I also used my punches to punch out a piece of Pool Party card stock and from the piece that goes around the box. The card base is Calypso Coral card stock. I need to thank Kelly Acheson for this card.
This next card is a shaker card. I got this idea from Tina Rackley Riddle & Lori Mueller. I used the Champagne Foil for the window rim and one of the note cards for the background and the lighthouse die cut. I stamped the birds and glued some sequins to the background so there will always be some "floating" I got the sequins from some past Paper Pumpkin kits.
This card I used the blue Brusho on as a "stormy" background. I got this idea from Jenny Hall.  I sprayed the Shimmery White card stock (front and back) then sprinkled some Brusho on it. Since it wasn't doesn't as much as I wanted, I pulled out my Aqua Painter and did a wash all over and liked this much better. The round circle piece is from the kit, as is everything else. I had a piece leftover from the first card, so I used that as my strip behind the circle. Since it wasn't really long enough I cut it in half. Now it looks like it's one long piece!
This last card was also from Kelly Acheson. This one wiped up in no time! The only thing that isn't part of the kit, is the card base, Pool Party. I took the other half of the note card from the shaker card and trimmed it down a bit and layered it on one of the other note cards, which was cut in half. The striped piece is another not card trimmed down to fit on the card base.

I hoped you enjoyed these ideas. So if you get the kits, save your leftovers! You never know when you're going to need them. If you don't get Paper Pumpkin yet, now is the time! When you sign up by May 10 you'll get your first 2 months at 50% off! That's $10 a month! Besides making the kit, you can always make other cards or projects using the kit. The kits contain everything you need to complete the projects except scissors. I so look forward to getting my kit and putting some time aside to make the kit and then come up with some alternative projects as well. It's like getting a present each month, delivered right to my door! To start your subscription click HERE. Check back next month for more ideas using May's kit.

Share What you Love!

I'm still trying to catch up and hopefully soon will be. Sorry for the late post!

Since customers have a chance to get this fabulous product BEFORE the catalog starts next month, I thought this would be a great Bundle to Feature this month! Here is a video showcasing this fabulous suite and the bundles that are available to customers this month only!

Isn't this a gorgeous suite? The paper is beautiful and the stamp sets are so versatile! I'll be holding a FREE class on May 22. One is in the morning and another at night. All the details for this class are on my website. Just scroll down to view both of these classes.

Here are a few pictures of cards I've made using the products from this suite.
This is using the "Just Getting Started Bundle". It comes with the Love What you Do stamp set, 2 ink pads (Old Olive & Grapefruit Grove-new), Very Vanilla card stock, an "E" acrylic block, and the Very Vanilla note cards and envelopes.

This card uses the bundle called "A Little More Please". This kit gives you 2 stamp sets! The Love What You Do and Make a Difference, which is an alphabet set. You also get Very Vanilla & Share What you Love card stock packs, Pearlized Doilies, Grapefruit Grove ink pad (new), Razzleberry Velvet ribbon, Artisian Pearls, Very Vanilla envelopes, & Share What You Love Embellishment kit. This is kit awesome!

This card uses the "Gotta Have It All" bundle. With this bundle you get everything you would get in the "A Little More Please", plus you get the Statement of the Heart stamp set, Lovely Floral Dynamic Embossing Folder, and the fabulous Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. This pack of DSP has 24 sheets of double sided heavy card stock.

These bundles are only available this month. You can purchase all this product next month but the specials of getting some FREE product in each bundle won't be available. It is so worth it, plus in addition to all the FREE product you can earn a FREE class as well! What's not to "LOVE"!
So if I haven't persuaded you yet to purchase one of these great bundles, here are a couple more cards using the products from the suite. I just can't get enough of these products and you won't either!

Picture Perfect Class!

I've been able to work over the weekend and finally put together a card class using the Picture Perfect Designer Series Paper! If you haven't seen this paper, it's great to use on cards for celebrations. In this class you'll make 6 different cards, all using this great Designer Series Paper! I had wanted to do a class where you'd have the paper to make the cards and take home the extra but since this product is retiring, I didn't want to take the risk of it not being available for everyone. Space for this class will be limited, so RSVP for this class now.
These cards will be great for those birthdays you have coming up and will be work for male/female, young/old! Very versatile I must say! I'm really happy with the way they turned out and look forward to having you attend this class! I'm scheduling a day and evening class. If the dates I have don't work for you, please let me know and we can set up something else that will work for you and your friends!

I'm scheduling another class later in May using the new Share What you Love Suite that's coming up in the new catalog! This is another class you won't want to miss!

March Monthly Swaps, Last Group

Hope you had a great weekend! The weather was beautiful! I think Spring is finally here! I even got out and did a little (very little) yard work. Let's pray it continues.

I have the last group of swaps to share from my monthly swap group. In case you don't remember, the theme for March was masculine birthday. I'm sure we can all use ideas for doing these. I'm also going to continue posting the supplies for each card just after the card.
This first card is done by Pat. What a great card! I really like this set and unfortunately it's retiring along with it's matching framelits.

Ink-Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake

Laura did this next card. Have you noticed a trend? We used either the Wood Textures DSP or the True Gentlemen DSP. The stamp set she used is also retiring. Make sure you get either (or both) of these sets if they're on your wish list!

I did this last card. I too used the True Gentleman DSP. I did CASE (Copy And Share Everything) this card. I been wanting to use this stamp set since I got it but just haven't had the time. Nothing like a swap to put on the pressure! The "happy birthday" is from Rose Wonder which is also retiring.

Ink- Crushed Curry, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party, Night of Navy, Tranquil Tide, Early Espresso

More March Monthly Swaps

I have more of my monthly swaps. I wanted to post this earlier this week, but I'm still at these renovations and if I don't get this done before I leave, it just doesn't happen! We're finally getting some teasers of warmer weather and so enjoying it! Soon it will be time to get outside and clean up from the winter and get the garden ready. Usually I'd be half done with this but I don't like to work outside in the cold. Hopefully by the end of next week I'll be pretty much done with these renovations and get back to a regular blogging schedule.

Ok, enough of all that! Here are some more swaps! In case you're new or don't remember (like me), I participate with a group of some very talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. The theme is picked by who is hosting that month and the theme for March was masculine birthday. Since I don't have much time to post all the supplies at the bottom with links to my STORE, I'll be listing the supplies used with each card. Please let me know how you like it.
This first card was made by Debbie. I finally broke down and got this bundle. There really is so much you can do with this bundle, I figured it was worth it. Now to use it!
Stamps- Bubble Over
Card Stock-Bubbles & Fizz, Chocolate Chip, Whisper  White, Basic Gray, Bermuda Bay
Ink- Chocolate Chip, Bermuda Bay, Basic Gray
Accessories-Bubbles Framelits
This next card was done by our host Jen. Sadly she'll be leaving the group for a bit.
Stamps- Celebration Time, Diagonal Stripe
Card Stock-Emerald Envy, Crumb Cake, Lemon Lime Twist, Soft Sky, Pick a Pattern DSP
Ink-Dapper Denim
Accessories-Celebration Time Thinlits, Layering Circle Framelits

The last card for today was done by Vicki

Ink-Dapper Denim, Lemon Lime Twist

I hope you enjoyed these cards and have given you inspiration to make some yourself. If you have any questions, or need some help with anything, please contact me, I'd be more then happy to help. If you don't have a demonstrator, I'd appreciate your business. I have several incentives for my customers. Check out the tabs above, especially LOYALTY REWARDS, WISH LIST, and MONTHLY VIP HOST CODE. You can find all the above products in my STORE and make sure to use this months VIP Host Code VSZMUHCA.

March Monthly Swaps

I hope you you had a great weekend. Mine just flew by! I had wanted to get this posted Monday, and a little late today, but we put in a long day on Sunday and yesterday and just didn't have it in me to take the pictures, edit them, then write the post. Since I didn't do any renovations Monday, I was able to get a little other work done, but not nearly enough. On top of it all, our Retired List came out and other big changes coming in June!

When you're viewing the Retired List you'll see all the bundles retiring. As usual, the bundles are only available during the catalog it's in and if it carries over into the next catalog you can still purchase it but you won't get the 10% discount. So if you're interested in any of the bundles in the current Annual catalog or Occasions catalog, get them now!

You'll also notice all the ink pads are retiring. Only some of the colors are actually retiring, in addition to the one group of In Colors. What's happening is, Stampin' Up! has redesigned the case and made it easier to open and the ability to stack them. In addition to that, they've improved the formula of the re-inkers so you don't get bubbles or foam when re-inking your pads.

Ok enough of all that exciting news! For our March swaps the them was masculine cards. We all seem to struggle with making masculine cards, so this should help you a great deal. Again, since I don't have lots of time, I won't be putting out a list of all the product used but I will give you the recipe and you'll be able to find all the product in my STORE.
So Lilly made this first card. I'm not sure what you call this, but I've been wanting to make this style, I'll have to look into making one. Below each card I've done it a little differently. You'll see the stamps, ink, paper listed along with any accessories, dies, etc.
Stamps-Truly Tailored
cs-Very Vanilla Thick,Night of Navy, True Gentleman DSP
ink-Tranquil Tide
Other-Polka Dot Basic Folder
I think quite a few of us used this True Gentlemen Designer Series Paper! I know I did! This is a great layout Mena did! I'll have to also use this on another card.
Stamps-Truly Tailored
inks-Night of Navy, Early Espresso, True Gentlemen DSP, Emerald Envy, Early Espresso, Whisper Whte
other- Everyday Label punch

The last one for today was done by Carol. Not sure you can see it but she did color the grass around the dog and tractor. It's hard for me to remember, but simple is always great for guy cards!
Stamps-Heartland
cs-Chocolate Chip, Very Vnilla, True Gentlemen DSP
ink-Chocolate Chip
other-sponge, Blends, Old Olive (light), Crumb Cake (light), dimensionals

I hope you enjoyed today's post. Sorry for the long intro, just trying to play catch up. Hopefully next week things will be back to normal. I'll have to share some pictures of what we've done too!

I would love to see some comments and if you don't have a demonstrator, I'd love to be yours. Check out the tabs above. Make sure to use my  Monthly VIP Host Code VSCMUHCA, WISH LIST, and LOYALTY REWARDS. Also check out the Retired List, and shop early for best selections. You can find everything in my STORE.
